Why didn't you just cut the top of the garage door out and replace it back later. You could make a tempory for your build and closing the door, then once out you can replace the original.
@HomeMeetsRoad5 күн бұрын
Cost, HOA, house structural integrity, permits… the beam over the garage door is load bearing and holds up the entire roof over the garage and front of the house.

This is my home park. I hate that you never got to ride Thunder Road nor Borg (Nighthawk). I also have the same passes and you’re correct it’s the best investment and I think Top Gun in the back is the best. Hurler sucks, totally agree- wish they would just RMC it but that’s not happening

We are heading back in 2025 as we loved the park so much. Unfortunately we will never get to experience Nighthawk as it’s being torn out I guess. Twisted Timbers at Kings Dominion was an insane experience knowing it used to be Hurler. Wish Carowinds would do something similar.

You can get them at Discount Tire, or through many other retailers. Good luck with your search! One of my OEM Nexen tires blew out at 29,000 miles, so you may want to factor that into your decision. @@WaysaandMeansAgain, spoiler alert: the videos have not caught up to Cedar Point (I’m behind big time). One day, we opened CP on SteVen, and it was a great ride, but nothing above the other RMCs. The smell of the locomotive on your way down. Pitch black except for the illuminated wooden beams. You could feel anger from the hot tracks. It was a coaster experience unlike any other. Help me understand. This video is over five years old. Why Jack and blocks? For what? The trailer was on blocks while in the garage getting the work done. A jack was used to get it into position. What am I missing?
@HomeMeetsRoad5 ай бұрын
I just re-watched the video, and I’m honestly not following what you are referring to. I put the trailer on blocks the minute I had part of the frame exposed, and then I was able to remove the factory jacks on the trailer. I realize that in the video, I said I had 12” of clearance above the trailer, which I thought I had, but once I started to jack the trailer up, the garage door opener was in the way. That was the most room I could give myself to work on this thing. Remember HOA… I couldn’t work on it outside. It’s funny you think I had money. I did this because I had no money. I couldn’t afford an RV. I built this thing on a credit card, gambling on the hopes I made enough on the house sale to pay it back.

We just came back from a 4 night stay here and it seems a lot has changed in 3 years from when this was filmed. Although the beach and boardwalk are still beautiful as can be appreciated in this video, the RV sites seem to have become overrun with long-term guests that have now set up and taken over the place. The RV area is taken up by old, run-down RVs with uncaring "residents" that treat the place as their own personal junk yard. There's nothing worse than being packed like sardines in narrow spaces between campers on either side of you with their stuff sprawled all over the place without any regard or respect for the fact that someone has now arrived to occupy the space they had been using as their own all along. I would not recommend this place nor will I ever return.
