@@jmackinjersey1he’s right though, not enough weight on the back of the wrecker . Too much weight on the front of the one being towed
@jmackinjersey1
@jmackinjersey1 3 ай бұрын
@@earlestes8649 First of all, it is not a wrecker. It is a regular tractor with a tow hitch. While I do agree that you would typically have the weight towards the front, this arrangement is typical when towing another tractor when you don't have the ability to remove the drive shafts. The issue here though is SPEED. Had he been driving the proper speed for this situation, he would have made it home that day.

This is typical because you need to remove the drive shafts, plural, when the drive wheels are on the ground. However, you don't drive that fast when towing in this orientation.

The fact they had a longer class b vehicle than a normal semi Without a trailer, I would have just taken the time to Take the drive shaft off Because with something like that, I'd rather have more wheels to balance on the road than just two steers.

Whoever hooked it up failed. But semis towing semis is nothing new. Hell most of the time they are towing 3-4 semis.

Must have the engine weight closer to the vehicle that is doing the towing a rear end heavy load will do this
@jmackinjersey1
@jmackinjersey1 3 ай бұрын
True, the nest practice is to move weight forward. However, in this case, the axles are lifted for easier towing. This driver was simply traveling way too fast for towing like this.

Good question bro, I’ve been wanting to make a video on this topic. First thing is make sure you’ll be able to register your truck at the ports. A new rule says that only ZERO EMISSIONS TRUCKS will be able to register after 12/31/23, But it’s being disputed that it needs to be approved by the Supreme Court. So as of now it’s not being enforced. I think you’re still able to register your truck as long as it’s 2014 or newer engine. Good ol California… If the answer is yes, than just find brokers on Facebook groups like LA & LB PORT DRIVERS or @KONTAINEROZ You can also find them on Craigslist or any job search web site. Once you find one, they will ask for a carrier packet, insurance requirements, and pay $100 per port, LA and Long Beach, etc. Once your signed up they should be able to connect you with one of their drivers to basically help you navigate the port. It could definitely be overwhelming for a while, but you’ll be good. The most important thing is make sure the rates make sense for your situation. Everyone’s path is different, if your expense’s are low, then you should be alright. Wish you the best of luck in your ports journey. Check out @life_with_ryda He has a good video on the subject! kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGK6eIKwnZZ6g5Ysi=8mVtTy52ETXSz1F1

@TRUCKINGwithG thanks for the start up info bro apreciete it, that was my main 2 concerns how to get the loads and even more important how to navigate inside the port. I been watching lyfe with ryda videos it looked very confusing and I heard you can get banned from entering by them if you screw while driving inside but I will reactive my mc and dot and look for the people you told me about if they can connect me with they're drivers that will be perfect. Again apreciete the time and help brother thank you.

I seen a video on youtube where a pickup truck loses its front driver's side tire, the tire immediately goes left in front of the red(?) car parallel to the pickup, the red car is ejected upwards in the air about 20 ft before landing in a barrel roll. After the vehicle wreckage comes to a stop, the damn tire comes up from behind and hits the car again.😮
