That's brutal. It's not always the driver's fault. This is undeniably less likely to happen to owner operators who OWN their trailer! It's always better to not find out what the consequences are.

Yes, I agree! As for me and my Company, I only own the trucks and do all power only loads. I think is was just a fluke accident. Whoever worked on it last didn't properly torque the axle nut, which lead to the whole hub coming off with both tires and the brake drum still attached. I'm just thankful to God that nothing bad happened! thank you for the comment!

I seen a video on youtube where a pickup truck loses its front driver's side tire, the tire immediately goes left in front of the red(?) car parallel to the pickup, the red car is ejected upwards in the air about 20 ft before landing in a barrel roll. After the vehicle wreckage comes to a stop, the damn tire comes up from behind and hits the car again.😮

Thanks bro. Yeah man, it messed me up mentally. I ended up just replacing myself as a Driver. So now I have a driver in both trucks so I can take a lil break from truck driving. I thank God that nothing bad happened, because if someone would've got hurt or killed, I'm pretty sure that it would've been deemed my fault, even though there's nothing I could've done to prevent it from happening. I appreciate you man!

That wheel was was put not to long ago who ever installed it never tightened the nut wow u were luckie

Yeah, the last time the hub was worked on, they didn't properly torque the axle nut. there's no way I would've known, unless I took of the hub cover, which is held on by 5 bolts...and have a diesel mechanic torque wrench to make sure it was properly torqued. Anyway, thank God nothing bad happened! Thanks for the feedback!
