Gaming never lost its magic, its just been moved to indie games. Big companies simply try adhering to what has worked in the past. Games that most people can play without having to invest too much time. Things you are expected to play for 1-2 hours at most 2-3 times a week. Maybe 10 things that you can do in the weekend if you happen to have 5-6 hours available, but most things are 1 hour tasks at best. You dont really look forward to those 10 things either, because other than time duration, they dont really mean much. Subnautica, Inscryption and Outerwilds are examples of games that have that formula flipped on its head. You can spend 1-2 hours a day or smth to prepare or incrementally improve, and then spend 5-6 hours going for something you've been looking forward to. You are basically always busy with the 5-6 hour task in your 1-2 hour time frames. Instead of getting a 1-2 hour distraction untill you can finally do something big. Minecraft (seriously, return to the game after 1-2 years after you started getting bored, you'd be surprised how fun the game can be after not having touched it), Satisfactory, Raft, RDR2, Stacklands, Palworld, Fable, Phasmophobia, Runescape(3 or old school), Stardew Valley, Superhot, Surviving Mars, The Witness. Except for RDR2, all of them are relatively small games by (relatively) small developer groups. They are good because they have more going on than just the gameplay loop. Where a lot of modern AAA games just have the gameplay loop.

Swat 4. If youve ever played ready or not its very similar, however its much older but gives a similar if not more dark atmosphere. Not because the missions are more morbid but because you arent constantly being shown the worst of the worst

Beam struggle was better in Bt3, they felt like actual struggle than a time based game. Also beams are very small even for say super kamehameha. But overall it is a great game with stunning visuals.

Bruh, looking back at it now they are all so different in comparison looking at the small major details now I love them all for so many different reasons. I love the past games no doubt and that being Budokai Tenkaichi 2 mostly my favorite of all for having THE BEST FIERY MF SOUNDTRACKS IN GAME MY MAN, but likewise BT3 had more charcters and yatta yatta yatta... BT2 still paid the way for all those feel good vibes in my opinion because BT3's music was so lame and MID man, I was struggling to stay locked in half the time but I still played it nonetheless now don't get me wrong... The music was just everything to me though in BT2 now... One thing though no DB Budokai to Tenkaichi game ever did best at mostly was there fiery openings. BT1 to BT3 had very fantastic openings especially BT1 being so rememberable in my head not like crazy iconic 👁👁👁👌👌👌 now Sparking Zero is a new beast to behold within my new obsession now... It's gonna take me some time because I still can't believe we finally got another BT game like wow I feel like I'm Dreaming still and am in shock 😅👌

Tbh ds3 runs like a emulated ps2 game on pc with choppy camera and clunky angles

DS1 > DS3, if you can get past the clunkyness of the controls. The first half of DS1 was spectacular! I remember more from DS1 that DS3, just because the game was way more engaging. Elden Ring outshined DS3 in the PVE aspect by far!

DS3 has pros and cons. The pros: Some one of the best bosses FS created, very good balance, amazing enemy's selection. The Bad: the Map is terribly linear. Advice: Try the game vanilla on your first run, then go for mods like Cinders and Convergence, they add a LOT of life to the game.
