YOU LEGITIMATELY TOOK THE THEORY OUT OF MY HEAD!!! I believe pretty everything you just said and with Wu in the flashbacks I just didn’t know how Wu was panicked during the merge. I hope this theory is right.

In hindsight the choice they made for his va was the best for the well being of the va. Morro is a fan favorite so using his voice actor was smart. As the fandom is very familiar with this actor.

The stars wars comparison makes me really excited for if they really do go that route. And that might mean for the franchise. A show marketed to a much older audience (like the current age of those who were very young when the original show aired) . A prequel about their parent’s adolescence. Or the most interesting one for me: A main sequel where the ninja are parents.

Whatever happens, I just hope that the hands of time are somehow involved, the end of season 7 didn't feel like an actual ending for me. After all, Wu came back, why shouldn't Krux and Acronix? And even if they got aged up so much that they died (like how Wu got aged down to a baby) Then their powers would get passed down to someone else OR the time blades are still out there.

The OG ninja have a big issue is that they are... too perfect... they have been through so much self improvement they became people so great... so flawless... it gets boring.

I hope it’s because the killed a source dragon but the source dragon that got captured warned Lloyd that if he released him something world ending could happen or something in that term but what if ras his master is the dead source dragon and he needs ras to go to the wish well as stated in s2 p2 to wish for a body

i think Ras's master is the source dragon of strength seeing as he was so agitated and annoyed when he was talking to lloyd, also Ras's whole ideology is based on strength.

I think the way Master Wu caused the Merge was: Changing Morro's Green Ninja Test, thus making Morro evil, causing the events of POSSESSION, the Destruction of the Cursed Realm, the Fall of the Realm of Djinjago, causing a domino effect until it caused the Merger (And that's why he blames himself for the Merge)

I'm a bit too lazy to go through all the comments or try to condense my own thoughts, but there's a canon Ninjago: Reimagined short titled "Golden Hour" that follows the events of Hands in Time: Lost in Time. Wu and the Time Twins travel to various key moments throughout Ninjago's story, such as Kai choosing to save Lloyd in Rise of the Serpentine: The Green Ninja, the Ninja gaining their pure elemental powers in Legacy of the Green Ninja: Island of Darkness, and even part of Wu's flashback in Rise of the Serpentine: Tick Tock. I believe there's a theory that all of those subtle background changes, through the butterfly effect, caused the Merge- and that they are also an in-universe explanation for the visual character redesigns in Sons of Garmadon. (As a bonus, the short also justifies Garmadon saying "it's all Wu's fault!" in Wu's aforementioned flashback.)

If he did do it intentionally so all armies would unite as well, that also raises so many questions and could retcon everything we knew prior I’m specifically talking about the overlord and his goals, along with the oni & their goals. Similar goals, but why? Was their power also postponing it? Across all the realms at that time, they were definitely the most powerful and I’d say important villains. This also means we could get an insane last season (or two) where certain characters with the most power return, kinda like crystalized except infinitely better. Like imagine a fully done oni Lloyd story, where he can do things the show never showed us, while also using creation at the same time. Imagine that, with the entire main cast, along with the overlord and oni, perhaps the time twins, Garmadon like how he was in s8-10 (also how the comic talked about him knowing shatterspin like father like son is possible again 😂) and tying everything the main cast has learned since the pilots, to fight against this threat if that’s what Wu really fears if he did this due to Ras’s master & the five. That would be beyond insane Sorry I couldn’t help myself 😅

The Egalt allegory hit close to home for me since I lost my Grandfather to cancer at the same time this season came out.

I don't know exactly how I feel. on one hand, early sessions jay was kind of creepy at times and lowkey mesogensitic (though that might have more to do with the time.) and later seasons jay isn't as afraid to show a more feminin side which I absolutly love. and I love how cute he is with Nya. so I do think I prefer later seasons Jay, that being said I'm also not a fan of the pee jokes and the voice not only sounds a little annoying at times, but it legit sounds painful, like the voice actor is obviously straining to do it. so I guess in other words, I appreciate a softer Jay but wish the show took softer jay more seriously. Soft doesn't have to equal stupid, in his case it shouldn't, he's supposed to be an inventor. He is smart. (pardon my spelling)

Only thing I think happened different is that the "storm" isn't caused by Wu, it's maybe some cataclysmic even caused by the death of a source dragon that literally shattered reality? So Wu tried to combat that by merging the reams, thus the "I'm not sure i can pull it off" bit. I think that's the bit Wu was doing. Otherwise fully agree. i think you cracked the big mystery of the show Edit: Also i think Ras is trying to undo the merge so they're all separate. You're probably aware of that too, just didn't mention it lol
