Johanna your Favorite pencils, It was my first colour pencils and I still loved Them, wish there were more colors available 😊

Other than I cant stare at the video too long 😳😵‍💫! lol that’s the 1st thing I do too except they come right out of the box into a case! Its funny because I have my pencils beside me now , taking out all my shorties piecing them together deciding which ones I need to reorder more of!!(one of my merry Xmas to me gifts! ❤)

Sleepy Willows by Johanna Basford. Please make this Halloween book with willow trees with flowers, pumpkins, a 2 page spread with the headless horseman on a horse reared up holding a flaming pumpkin on the other side have a willow tree with tons of blossoms. It would be a huge seller. 😊

I bought a flip case of pencils just for the case from a local cheap destocking chain (~10€ for the case, 70 pencils, sketchbook, sharpener and eraser), just so I can store my expensive pencils. And wonder of wonders, I actually like these scholar pencils very much and Small Victories fits so well in the place of their sketchbook. Expensive or not, now that is my setup for curling on the couch :) I figure if Johanna can color with school supplies, it's absolutely perfect for me as well - in the end who cares?

I have TONS of supplies coming just for this book!

That's my smallest green too of the same set :D luckily we can buy it separately, and also whatever new color they come up with (also like Caran d'Ache Luminance pencils who have new additions frequently). The only reason I stopped using the FC Polychromos is that for my colorings in the Secret Garden book, the pencil intensity is less than I remember. Which is weird because the drawings are not that exposed to light and the paper shouldn't be a problem neither. In opposition, the Prismacolor and Luminance pencils have not faded yet.

I absolutely love the Prismacolor panels for the same reason. From the factory they are arranged by a certain logic. The high intensities, the pastels, the autumns, the greys, skintones, plus the extra blues and greens panel... And they always include some accent colors that just work with the rest of the panel. A joy to use while still having the option to forage for another shade (which I never do for it would spoil the effort of making it with a limited palette). All the other pencils are put in jars but the Prismas are kept in the order they came in, with pics to remember what was where when someone accidentally messes them up.

I could watch you color all day. So relaxing. Can't wait to get my book!!❤

May I ask what sharpener you use for sharpening your pencils?

I love how you encourage us to keep it simple, limit the number of pencils and just have fun colouring. I hear you saying this now when I am getting stressed over what colours to choose, a simple palette is often the right answer.

I absolutely love your drawing style, and I love your coloring style even more. I'm intimidated about choosing shades of colors to add depth, and you show us how to add the depth and light by using just one color, which I really appreciate.
