I’ve got the same trailer and trying to do the light install. Where did you get the part where u put the light through the small hole and keep it in place? And also the switch. The little piece to tighten around the thread. Where is that from?

Hello! Sounds like you might be missing some pieces. Mine came with everything you see besides the custom wood top I did. The lights don't really lock in place so you could glue them in lightly!

I used car paint, and regular (plastic-friendly) spray paint for the final layer. Problem is it chips and flakes off for anything. What did I do wrong? Could it be just because I didn't wash the shell before painting? Do I have to use model paint?

Oh no! Yes washing body to remove oils is needed. Also the correct paint is most important. You need a polycarbonate paint for the lexan body's because they flex so much

Yeah its quite different then painting other things! But it's awesome because it protects the paint so well! Just makes it a little harder to paint

Lexan bodies are painted from the inside. But hardbodies are painted normal.

I really like the idea of free-styling with a whiteboard-marker to get an idea of the final design. The explanation was great - the paint-job not so much, but you repaired it well XD

Why do you paint on the inside of the body? And can you use regular spray paint?

Hello, it's painted on inside so it doesent get scratched up. I would not as it won't flex under impacts and use this will lead to cracking paint and chips

The best way I've used to remove overspray before applying the next color is using q-tips and Nitro fuel. Clean with alcohol after the nitro

@IRONSIDE_RC yeah bro, works great! Que tips, and Hobby Lobby sells cue tips with very fine cone shaped tips for tight spots. Popsicle sticks work good in spots as well.

Scoring the lexan with an exacto blade on the body lines is the best way to get clean cuts you can see in this video. Also check out my how to cut and install clear windows video I demonstrate this method in that video also! Good luck✌️
