where do you get manpower from?

I hate cav so much, if youre not a horde or a nation with good cav combat ability ideas i dont bother with them at all. yea they r expenisive and i would much rather have 2 more inf then 1 cav. cav only flanks if the enemy youre fighting doesnt fill combat widht but honestly i would much rather go over force limit with inf to fill combat with so i can stackwipe in that case and becasue the cav is 2x as expensive if you go over force limit the avarage cost of your troops is so high you get so fucked. and cav is just so annyoing if your armies start dying you have to look out if that you dont acidentally go under the cav/inf ratio they just make the game more micro intensive i can see how people might like that but i hate it. with that being said if you are a horde or maybe like poland get 100% cav to inf ratio and just fuckin go nuts cuz if you can do that they deal sooo much damage its a pretty fun way to play that game.

Mercenaries should be like 50% drill at worst and fully drilled at best when you hire them. It's ridiculous that you're paying more for worse, unwieldy units.

Can you liberate a vassal of the rebel tag (let's say syria) and wait for it to get you the provinces ? It happened in one of my games with savoyards rebels that got their cores back for my newly released Savoy vassal. But they spawned at the end of the war in my ennemy's land.

Did you spend diplo points to lower war exhaustion before coring the territory?

The sea battles took me a lot of Alt+F4ing. Finally managed to do it but Ottomans refused to sent their FULL army to kefalonia. So, for me i didnt worked unfortunatley.

Anyway, it was a fun ride. I have an offtopic question for you concerning court-ideas: finishing the ideagroup grants monarch +1 diploskill. Does that mean, that any monarch or ruler get +1 diplo points per month? If so, is it just calculated and the ruler spawns with 1 more skillpoint? I didnt find any info in the game and the forums as how this one skillpoint is embedded in the game. If it is how I understood it - court might be insane with +1 diplo per month for the whole session!

I need to boot this game up again. My last run I finally had a Good Byzantium run, France and Austria are my Vassals, I did have Spain but I annexed/integrated them. Got Russia and Great Britain as allies. I own most of Europe, all of North Africa, all of Spain since I annexed them, and a big chunk of the middle East. I've got Russia as an ally and they're cut off from attacking Europe by me. I feel more powerful on this run than I did when I played Austria and unified the HRE. This is such a great game! Thanks for the tips! For some reason my favorite Country to play is Crimea though, and try to break into Europe- it's easy to go East but getting into Europe is very hard as that Country.

For some reason when i play Albania I manage in almost games to ally Austria France Bohemia Poland and Castille/Aragon and even England once

Court is a missleading idea set, it seems like a good idea set to manage your estates easily and for the emperors, but then when you take a look at the policies you realise it comboes insanely well with Admin and Religious which are the two best idea sets in the game alongside diplomatic. This also makes court one of the best idea set to finish your world conquest, depending if you need Quantity/Offensive/Influence it can be picked as 4th/5th/6th or 7th idea set. That combo with Plutocratic is kinda hilarious tough.

Two concerns I have is what if the ai recruits new trips in the exclave you leave them, and how to avoid having your allies/vassals killing the rebels

My last game was a vassalize all the world as emperor, starting as Florence. I am in 1720 and i got up to half of Russia with vassalization, i don't know if in a century i can reach Japan.

You mentioning vassal favours reminds me of a nice meme game I did as Ming. Basically never declared war after Mongolia’s independence and was able to vassalize and annex half the world. The biggest trick I found for expanding against huge nations (mostly in India) was allying them and using favours to return core provinces to their neighbours that I had vassalized. There’s government reforms and shit for favour gain that help with that. Not super related but figured I’d mention it because it’s a dank meme and I’d totally make a video about it if I wasn’t so terrible at getting myself to make videos…
