Tell him about when you driving and you put in park it off after 10 minutes and tell them material under the wheel arches used to be aluminum and then they went to plastic now they going to material dumb bastards. Also tell him about the camera on the front bumper and the metal bumper and on a back bumper and when it gets dirty, it makes noiseslie to people tell the truth

You are correct, the car looks great as a base. People can talk about the weight, but this looks like a very nice car to drive daily. This is not a car you take to a track, so i you want to drive like an idiot, there are plenty of cars you can get for that.

I agree the GLC has more luxury appointments than the GLB but the interior is too cramped….even for the driver side!!!! In the GLB without the 3rd row you don’t feel cramped anywhere!!

6:34 This "intake" is there to improve the airflow around the wheel arches and thus reduce drag The electric motors are mounted inside of the ladder frame and nowhere near this intake. 9:47 This is the button for G-steering, not the G-turn (or "famous spin" 😉)

Registration tax on 43 is 12.5k more in belgium than the 63 it’s no brainer to go for 63. Yearly tax is more on 43 to

I like that car start in electric mode. My daily driving normally doesn't exceed 60 miles. If you gas it car will switch automatically 🎉

Appreciate the review. The problem with this car is it is too heavy and too expensive because the weight and cost put it in Lucid Air Grand Touring territory and that car has over 800 hp and leases for $949 a month. Mercedes is screwing themselves over with these plug-in hybrid AMG’s like the C63 at $100k for a 4-cylinder, 4900 lb car. At that point a Model S plaid is cheaper, lighter, faster. If these AMG’s had V8’s they would weight less with better handling for one and two, they would at least have character and fun factor, even if they can’t match straight line speed of EV’s.

@ Sure you can, you plug it in like an EV and it weighs 5200 lbs like an EV. Mercedes are my favorite car, but the EQ cars are a total bust, the plug-in hybrid C63 was a total bust and I fear the E53 will be the same. AMG’s should be V8s for the character or 1,000+ hp EVs for crazy performance. The product planners are a bit lost right now.

@ e 53 has very high demand compared to c63s or EVs. Not all AMGs have to be v8. Don’t forget that 6 cylinder 10 years ago and today are two different engines, they don’t have to be all v8s - this is a great powertrain for e53

I would prefer this powertrain as just the 443 hp six cylinder, no hybrid stuff beefed up brakes and suspension and E450 weight. The price premium on a CLE53 to a CLE450 is like $6k which is a great deal. $20k premium here over E450 seems like not a good deal.

I totally get what you're saying but it isn't that cut and dry for a lot of buyers. The E53 is sold out here. The C63 is a flop because of the 4-cylinder. Not because it's a hybrid. The problem is that no high dollar ICE performance car will match the EVs, but those EVs are one trick ponies, especially the nothing inside but a screen and steering wheel Tesla which doesn't drive nearly as well as a Mercedes when you aren't racing. The Lucid is a much better car, but again an EV.

Is there a difference in the engine sound when you set it to Sports Plus mode between 43 and 63?
