How can I order one of those?
@MW477422 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew, I just bought one of your Zoso Tone Bender pedals, like the one shown here in the video. Unfortunately it sounds not even close to the one you demonstrate here. Mine goes really wooly, fuzzy and muddy. I think the internal trimpots have been changed. Could you please tell how to adjust them correctly? I play a LP guitar with PAF pickups into a plexilike amp. Thank you for your help!
@axemanand2 жыл бұрын
Hi. Tone Benders can get woolly and fuzzy as they use germanium transistors. They are also sensitive to temperature; if they get hot they will be more fuzzy, cooler they are more clear. They are very sensitive to the type of guitar also. A LP will make them more fuzzy than a tele or strat. It key is to keep the fuzz knob low and turn the volume down on your guitar until you find the tone you like. If it is still woolly with the guitar volume down then the trim pots have been adjusted. It is possible to adjust them but you would need a multi meter to adjust each one to set the voltages each transistor receives. Germanium are all different also so I would set them to the standard voltages then make slight adjustments by ear.

The Noun this one was just a straight iPhone recording. I usually use a close mic and room mic through Cubase but this was a quick recording.

Bizarrely I am watching your clone on Ebay and was looking for a demo of the Diaz. This was a long way from the first 'hit' but was the first one I clicked on. I wasn't expecting to see and hear the pedal I was watching. No guarantees I'm buying one (I have a love/hate relationship with fuzz pedals) but if I don't that will have nothing to do with the quality of your demo.
@axemanand4 жыл бұрын
Kevin Betts that’s a coincidence! I love fuzz but have struggled with a fuzz face in a live band mix but this pedal does solve the problem of disappearing into mush as it’s fuzzy but clear. No offence will be taken if you don’t buy it!

@axemanand4 жыл бұрын
Fret Junkies thanks! It’s a great fuzz circuit. It sounds good with a strat also. I built it myself with components but there are kits available from Fuzz Dog’s pedal parts and Jed’s peds. They are only £20 odd quid and it’s good fun, especially during lock down! There are lots of kits on those sites and it’s a great way to start off if you’ve never done it before.
@jabaridd4 жыл бұрын
you got any idea how to get his live tone in Red House live in Santa Clara? and little wing at the royal albert hall?
@axemanand4 жыл бұрын
tisu wajah great tone on the Little Wing Albert Hall recording. It is neck pickup on a strat with no fuzz. It’s a plexi style Marshall (dsl on the crunch channel is close) up loud so it’s overdriving with the volume on the guitar rolled back for the intro and verse, then up full for the solo. Red house is just amp also, no fuzz. It sounds like the Gibson Flying V on that track. Jimi often used it live for Red House.

@tourettesguy38585 жыл бұрын
ACERob71 my guess is mid power judging by how clean his signal is.
@axemanand4 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the very late reply! It was set in high power mode but I have the guitar volume turned down for the clean sections. The Les Paul has 50s wiring so it cleans up better with the guitar volume.
