you take the tires off then you can lift it easier just a few inches.

Imdoing this. My trucks not worth doing at all at this point but i got a welder i have not used yet so it's good to learn on. My cross over for the carrier bearing is rotted too. I cant find any new one's guess i'll have to try and patch it up. Trucks worse than i thought

East coast driveline sells a solid aluminum one that you cut that out for. Save you a lot of headache

Definitely 2 guy can lift up the bed if you don't have a engine host

LOL good ole chebby's. I got AN6 braided nylon hose. Figure it will be easier. I did the brake lines a few years ago so i know running hardline is a pain in the butt. If chevy only used stainless it would save people a lot of headache. They act like everyone lives in arid climates lol

Then you got the late 90s/earlier 2000s ford f150s, I hate almost everything about those trucks. But there's one thing they did right, stainless fuel lines.

Does that switch have detents with a set amount of positions, or is it infinitely adjustable like a volume control?

Great video. What would happen if you just change out your current switch for a factory GM delay switch? I'm trying to add delay wipers to my 78 Chevy and I can easily source the switch.

Is there a way to replace the crossmember beam without taking the bed off the truck? Possibly if I put the truck on a lift?

It can be done but its the long complicated way. The bed probably needs support ribs anyway

@@angeljuarez840 I tried and just couldn't do it. The saw would never bite into the metal. I just cut squares out around each end of the tube with a grinder.
