Just as a point, in the UK, a lot of the building stock is over a 100 years old, so yes, it probably is a good idea to get the wiring refreshed.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It is also important to consider that maybe not always the case especially if your going direct to vendor. Make sure you do your own research on the sold property prices on simular properties in the area and as you said don't always take the usually inflated agent price as a true relection of what the property is worth.
