My main concern is safety…… I don’t consider Mexico a safe country to live in. Mexico needs to get their huge drug cartel issues eliminated.

Excellent informative video but it's a pity your pronunciation of Spanish place names isn't of the same standard.

A quarter of a million dollars to nearly half million dollars? These property prices are artificially high for their respective nation's economy. This is because of Expats willing to pay these ridiculous prices. The citizens of these countries will be priced out of the home ownership and then out of the ability to to afford rent. How long before they revolt and force their governments to seize foreign owned real estate?

Great list of places to consider! I’m curious-what makes these regions stand out for living or retiring compared to other parts of the Iberian Peninsula? Are there specific benefits like lower cost of living, better healthcare, or more job opportunities? I’d love to hear more about the advantages of each region!

This is a great list! As an American considering retirement abroad, I’m curious-what factors should I prioritize when choosing a property, like healthcare access, cost of living, or local culture? Are there specific countries on this list that offer the best balance for retirees? Thanks for the insights!

It’s worth mentioning that The Greek Golden Visa program’s minimum investment has increased to 500,000 EUR, effective May 1st, 2023. Greece Golden Visa change applies geographical limits to real estate investments, affecting properties in specific municipalities in Athens, Thessaloniki, Mykonos, and Santorini.

I watch a lot of these types of videos because I am interested in retiring overseas. One main concern though is if I sell the property or pass it on to my family when I die, I don't want a massive capital gains or even more inheritance tax shock. You do mention this in a couple of cases but not many videos consider this.

Wow, this is great info! I'm curious, which of these places offer the best value for the price in terms of lifestyle, amenities, and safety? Are these beachside apartments primarily in more remote locations, or are there any in popular tourist destinations that are still affordable? I'd love to know if there are any hidden gems that might not be as well known but offer a fantastic living experience for that price!

investing in anything outside of your own business should be illegal, enough of people and corporations [who own millions of vacant homes] buying up family homes and charging high rents. and the govt needs to stop allowing foreigners to buy all of our land

It’s just shocking to me how mostly all Europeans disdain Spain during their working years, yet they keep coming to Spain for their retirement only to contribute to property speculation. Spaniard yougsters cannot afford decent housing anymore, that’s really sad…

I would be there soon and to rebuild and secure my Nubians children future and encourage them not to alow those kineofman to ever have access to our most precious place on earth Mama Africa. As an American interested in working abroad, this list is super helpful! It’s great to see which countries in Asia are considered safest for living and working. I’m curious about what factors make these places so safe-is it low crime rates, good healthcare, or maybe political stability? And how do expats generally find the experience in terms of work-life balance and adjusting to the local culture? This video definitely got me thinking about new possibilities!

Such an informative video! It’s great to see a list of affordable countries to live in, especially as many of us are looking for ways to stretch our budgets. I’m curious, though-do the cost of living and affordability vary significantly between cities and rural areas within these countries? I’d love to know if there are any hidden gems where living is even cheaper than the national average!

when Colombia has managed to have a place in this list despite safety concerns why not the likes of Mexico,? Also not sure if the financial ratings of the country as a whole have been taken in to consideration. Srilanka was on the verge of bankruptcy at least twice and could be heading there anytime in future ? Similar is the case for Argentina. what I get from the topic is advise for retirees / digital nomads moving from first-world countries to these developog economies. But I'm afraid the financial stability of these developing economies has not been considered in this list.

Sri Lanka's political turmoil had no effect on foreigners living or on vacation there, don't believe everything you see on mainstream media. I was in Sri Lanka last august it is completely safe, aside from the tourists scams which are pretty obvious. The exchange rate is also very good, I stayed there till early October and only spent around $2,100 including rent and everything.

@@molezinger5780 I believe the topic of the video is a suggestion for relocating from first world countries to low-cost, safe, politically, and financially stable countries. However, I think there are better options than Sri Lanka. According to the IMF and World Bank data, Sri Lanka's debt situation is dire, and their plans to address the debts are bleak. In any case, insolvency may lead to a loss of money in bank accounts, regardless of whether one is a resident or a local in Sri Lanka

Out of those countries I would rate Bulgaria as number one on the list- in such strategic location between Europe and Asia, excellent and quick access to health care, tasty and cheap groceries and young locals speak foreign languages like English, German, Spanish, as a fact plenty of Bulgarian immigrants around the world are returning back in past 2 years to live. Also plenty of job opportunity for work.

As an American looking into affordable retirement options, this list is so helpful! But I’m curious-does the $1,500/month estimate include everything, like rent, healthcare, and daily expenses? Also, how stable and accessible are healthcare services in these places for retirees? It would be great to know if any of these countries have specific retirement visas or requirements for foreign residents. If anyone here has retired to one of these spots, I'd love to hear about your experience!
