The same reason people are afraid of water. Ancestral memory and consciousness, something we will never be able to begin to understand. We are part of the Universe, everything that is happening and has happened effects all of us, even if it is in the most minute way possible. This is why if everyone is not happy, then no one can be happy. It's why I don't understand how people can have trillions in assets while their countrymen struggle just for food and shelter. America is what is "cooked", not Miocene Europe. I think we made these megalithic earthquake proof walls around the world to keep the absolute monsters that roamed the Earth away from us, though. It makes a lot of sense. To survive such a place with short faced bears and lions almost double the mass and strength of those today, we would need weapons too. I think we have created advanced civilizations multiple times in the last 500,000 years full of machines and technology, but we get slapped back down into the "Stone Age" by massive natural and cosmic disasters every 30,000 to 50,000 years. We went from the Younger Dryas events 13,000 years ago, likely the Great Flood story and caused by meteor showers, started from scratch and went to the Moon in only those 13,000 years. Do people really think we were just smacking rocks together and grunting for 500,000 years? What a dumb assumption, because that's what it is, more so than assuming we had advanced civilizations long before our time before the Ice Age.

Yeah out of Africa theory is bullshit there is no way anyone would muster hope for any reason to move from a lush nest continent to a place where sitting is fatal, this video is the final nail to the coffin idc out of Africa is just a political hoax for me… in fact i think its the other way around thats why you find some European genes î central west Africa… LIKE WHO WOULD LIKE TO MOVE TO ANTARCTICA x100 WITH STONE AND STUCK AND A PIECE OF CRUDE LEATHER

But, what about Brontoscorpio, the croc-sized sea scorpion, wasn’t that the biggest? … Or the permian griphon flies, weren’t they slightly bigger too? 👀 Unsure about the last one. Might have heard something about the Triassic flying insects, too

Maybe the largest animal that was SUPPOSED to fly. But I have a feeling there was at least one giant ass sauropod that went flying through the air from the shockwave of the asteroid.

So training a pack of killer Stegosauruses for combat might be a better ticket than picking a predator. Handlers would have an easier time as they would not be tasty. Their mass would make them hard to stop. Thagomizers could be replaced with something more durable and armor piercing like Tungsten, which could also be removed to make handling safer. Yes, I can see it.

I had a dream where i was a chief science officer and researcher of xeno lifeforms. The dream was on a mostly frozen planet and there was f@#$ed up dino looking creatures and they were "infected" by a hive mind sentient entity, that also infected the former lead scientist, who killed the other five researchers and the enviro-development crew. I took a team out to investigate because we were lied to by the infected member. We were led to believe that the creatures killed the crew and the weather conditions. I was seeing my crew being picked off and discovered the ice was melting, originally allowing the hive mind to break free bit by bit. It was trying to make a deal with me and couldn't allow me harm, at least, until i tried to kill the signal it was telepathically emitting.

I wonder, what if the Terror Birds weren't just apex predators but also omnivores? this could explain a number of the features found in the Brontornis while allowing it to be better/more specialized for herbivorous eating, provided that the region they found themselves in was potentially more scarce in prey items to sustain it, and thus shifted it more towards the herbivorous side.
