I use RTX3070 2GHz and for most of time the fastest render is with Tile Size OFF.

Since 2016, Autodesk Fusion runs natively on Mac. The performance is outstanding. Your video lacks support.

Currently making a movie type animation, so i switched from the evee i was previously using for my shorts to the cycles to get higher end results. I started with 150 samples, now i am down to 40, i tested short animations (thats where you can trully see the difference) and the difference between 150 and 40 is pretty much none. I saved my self allot of hours by reducing it to a reasonable number. So to find out how many samples work for you you simply have to experiment a bit.

I finally switched to Mac last year. I do both 3D work and photo/video editing, so it was a bit of a tradeoff when switching since I could have gotten an RTX 4070 laptop for less, but having the efficiency and portability of a Mac plus the integration with all my music and iCould photos makes sharing content easier than ever.

Noise Threshold, Samples, Denoise.... But isn't the Format Resolution the 4. Part that has a huge impact on the final result? Someone else recommend in a video, to set the resolution high to 4K UHDTV 2160p and reduce the samples to 200. For me as a Beginner it is impossible to know in what relation this all stand.

My 2+ years old Lenovo Legion 5 pro smash into pieces all of this fancy macbooks in terms of perfomance while having definintely good enough display for 3d rendering and design. It's just better in everything work reliable except of battery life. But I was in love with my Macbook Pro M2 Pro, I had so good user expirience (keyboard, display, materials, smooth OS). Sometimes I wish to have another job where Macbook would be enough)

This comprehensive analysis is sooo useful and informative! Would it be possible to get a comparison like this for the new M4 iMac and Mac mini? I have a MacBook Pro M1 which has been running C4D modelling fine but I wanna get a bigger screen and a computer that can run simulations easily... I don't really want to build my own PC so I'm more partial to getting the M4 desktops and I'm wondering if that would be financially responsible hahaha

I’d like to see this same analogy with the m4 lineup. I’m on the fence about an MacBook pro m4 max cause I currently have an i9 , rtx 4080 12gb vram with 64gb ram . Will the m4 max outperform my current set up?

It's really illuminating to me to see you showing low and high max sample counts, and realizing that on my tiny phone screen I can barely notice the noise in either. I normally render with really high sample counts and wouldn't consider anything with less than 1000 (or 100 for an animation) max samples for a "final" render because any less and on my monitor the noise looks so obvious and I think "oh no everyone's just going to see the noise you can barely see what the scene is supposed to be." But seeing you get away with 64 max samples and get a result that actually looks good (even without denoiseing!) really drives home that the image only needs to look as good as what it's displayed on. Theres no reason to download a 4k video if you know you're going to watch it on a 1080x720 tv from 2009, and I don't need 400+ samples for an animation that people are going to watch on their tiny phone screens from a website that compresses video quality anyway.
