The Ford engines look and sound awesome to most. I love Ferrari but these rally cars are my favourite in the wet/snow. The main job of the vehicle is you worked well open arrival and you did not crash I would get another one. Loving a Ford car is rewarding, Mr. Ford loved farming and I believe that is the best.

I just bought a pretty grey one with 7 tiny dents from hail with 47k miles for $9.5 at a GSA auction. The market is rough these days….However, it’s better than $14k. I’m happy, but our dollar doesn’t go as far. It seams like a fairly sturdy car tho! I outbid someone and didn’t even realize it in all the chaos; it was public. This should get me through nursing school with my twins. I’m reading the manual rn to run the maintenance it needs. I’m hoping this car lasts, because I need it to…I’ll sell it in a year and hopefully get my money back. But I’m only going to put 7k miles on it.

Thanks for this video. I highly recommend the proper tool is used for the upper right bolt. I have a 2017 Ford Focus, and with the tiny engine, there's just no way to fit and turn a wrench/plyers into that final bolt. Use the right size and extended socket tool, for your own sanity.

I have 93k miles on mine. Put 89 in the tank once every six fill ups of 87 and it made mine shift smoother and accelerate quicker. It tends to jerk quickly when accelerating but once you drive it for a bit, you get a feel for how to push on the gas to avoid the issue. when i first got it, i enjoyed it and slowly dreamed of getting a newer and nicer car but now now i’m just proud of it for living so well for me up to this point and i want to keep him as long as i can.

I finally found a somewhat easier way to doing it. Take the housing out of position and you’ve got enough room to work. Then easier to push into its tab and the screws line up perfectly. Then shove entire thing back into place. Tada dang toughest filter I ever had to replace. Whew 😥

Sockets maybe?😂😂😂 Those are needle nosed pliers initially, but they soon turn into a wrench. 😂😂😂 Look, I’m all for aspiring mechanics trying to save a few dollars and doing a few basic automotive things on their own, like tire pressure, checking oil, wiper blade, and light bulb replacement. You my good friend are taking a very big chance at stripping your bolts by NOT having on hand a proper BASIC automotive maintenance tool set on your car. Amazon sells them cheaply, or maybe your spouse or family member can get you one for Xmas. You seem like a go -getter and a great guy! But also remember, even the correct toll can be dangerous in an unskilled mechanic’s hands.

I bought one of those spray bottles and a gallon of the same stuff to refill the spray bottle when empty and I can’t unscrew it for the love of god... any help would be appreciated. There’s nothing on the spray bottle that says one time use bottle or anything. I’m tempted to drill a hole near the top and pour in some more and then duct tape it closed.

There was a recall on spray bottles in 2015 because of a fear that a child could open the bottle and drink the toxic contents. I presume new bottles are designed so that the trigger top cannot be removed? Link to recall: www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2015/Prestone-Products-Recalls-Windshield-De-Icer-and-Ice-and-Frost-Shield

This was your chance to buy new tools. My OEM Ford filter just won't fit. I had to really jam it in and the upper cover wouldn't line up. Then I lost a screw when it fell into the splash pan. I ordered new screws and I'll have to try again. Same issue with my 2014. New filters won't fit. The dealership service charges $80 for a filter change. The cabin filter was a 10 minute breeze.
@deenaitch
@deenaitch Жыл бұрын
On my 2014, it was a bit of work to get the new filter to fit, but it did. Just had to insert it and seat it fully and firmly onto its mating hose. Then it took about three tries to fit the top cover so it was properly seated and could be bolted back down. Yes, it was a tight fit, but it did finally go back together nicely. And ditto about the tools, I couldn't believe he was using needle-nose pliers and then an open-ended wrench, when a socket and extension were the obvious requirement.
