The 70's were known for "evil redneck sheriff" B-grade drive-in movies. Jackson County Jail, A Small Town in Texas, Nightmare in Badham County (actually a TV movie)--all these and lesser quality rip-offs were at your local drive-in. However Mean Dog Blues stands-out as far better and more intelligent. George Kennedy was such an underrated actor. He starred in everything from this movie, to major roles in "Dallas" and big budget movies.

I saw these two trailers back to back at the Neptune Theater in Seattle my first time seeing Rocky Horror on Christmas Break of 1978. It was a few years before I got to see them along with Pink Flamingos. Two of my all time favorites!

I had a scary dream when I was very little where my parents were getting ready to go to a party, and on the news there were 3 escaped killer clowns. My parents said "your babysitters are here!" and left and it turned out they had hired the 3 killer clowns. I'm pretty sure that dream came from watching this teaser when I was 5.

The blonde girl in the beginning looks like she's mouthing the words "Electric Blue." Also, these girls are so hot and sexy, just like any girls dressed in aerobics outfits (including one-piece leotards and one-piece swimsuits). One of the many great and amazing things about the 1980s is the culture, the culture of aerobics (especially girls in one-piece swimsuits and one-piece leotards), the music (which the 1980s is the best era of music and also real music), the time we started having video games, thanks to Nintendo's U.S. headquarters saving the video game industry due to the video game crash back in 1983, etc.

I first saw this trailer in the fall of 2008 as a 17 year-old high school senior. Even that recently, it was almost impossible to find much on “Goodbye Uncle Tom” on the internet. I somehow found the US cut online, and to this day, it literally haunts my dreams. If you’re seeing this trailer here and thinking about watching the movie, I mean this from the pit of my soul - DON’T. I don’t doubt at all that it is the most accurate portrayal of slavery there is, but that is not something you wanna see. Stick to “ROOTS,” this is too much…

Beware of Illegal Steps CDs! Check whether this Steps CD carries this pricing sticker. Music Piracy is a very very bad crime. Please do not accept it. Please demand a genuine Steps CD from your local HMV. Poor scratchy Steps CDs reduce your listening pleasure and jeopardize future music production.
