Aw man it is so great to see another start and end from your channel with some neat stuff on it, interesting for it to say "stay watching for previews at the end of this movie" and then have previews before the movie, what a world. But as I said, it's great to see these again, hope there's more to come.

Good compilation, Looking at Xtro, it does look like a good movie. I did see "The Burning" on OnDemand and it was interesting. Good video.

Thanks for the info. I guess we Canadians are way more sensitive because Thorn EMI's release over here in the 80's was cut to ribbons. Every kill was trimmed.

@accountwithoutrules There are more to come. The very next one is a Palace Vibrant Video from Commuter Husbands (heavily edited though), then a Premiere release of Brothers in Arms, and then a Cannon Video from Blood Tracks.

Great stuff and good to see more of these. Hah love the aviation trailers... filmed in colour! The Exterminator is a classic.

XTRO is one of the most under-rated of all British films ... not only is it completely bonkers! it owes alot of its style to the films of Italian directors Fulci n Argento, panned by critics n horror fans alike on it's release this film is due the credit it deserves ... maybe one day it will sit (n deservedly so) along such other British classics as The Wicker Man n Theatre Of Blood.

i doubt it will be thought of as the same as theatre of blood and the wicker man but yeh i liked xtro, it was a strange low budget nasty film.

@Baby5hambles Someone told me the title of the song once, as it was a public domain track, but I forgot what it is now.

The opening logo has the theme to the pilot episode of "Press Your Luck".

No it was not. The distributor made some very small cuts to the raft scene in particular but all the other killings were uncut.

Brings back some good memories! Never saw 'Scrubbers' though I always found the girl on the old Thorn EMI slick pretty sexy, I've seen that Umbrella have released on DVD here but the trailer hasn't done much for me to want to see it...haha. Just picked up a daybill for 'The Burning' off eBay, never knew it even had an Australian theatrical release! Once again, thanks for sharing :)

@CarryTheZero1980 The girl on the cover of Scrubbers meets an unfortunate end with that baseball bat unfortunately! The Burning would have been an amazing film to see on the big screen. Most flicks got theatre releases. Scrubbers did too, by Greater Union!

@ExplosiveAction Indeed! Three MAJOR aviation titles. I mean could the dude be any more dramatic? I think the Soldier tape is one of the best in terms of trailer and logo variety, and the movie's pretty good too.

@QRhuggies Xtro is great! Frances is good to, although it is a very very long movie. Jessica Lange is amazing in it.

Was THE BURNING released uncut on VHS in Australia by THORN EMI in the 80's?

@AussieRoadshow Hot damn, definitely will have to avoid seeing it now. In my imagination she'll live on, she never ages and can be summoned in just a thought if need be...haha :) Good old Greater Union film distribution! Keen to see if the distributor is mentioned on 'The Burning' poster, odds are that it'll be GU too! According to my 'A Nightmare On Elm Street' daybill 7 Keys were the theatrical distributor over here yet CBS Fox did the video distribution, always thought it strange.

@sfighter991 I love Xtro! It's low budget, a bit dated and a rip off of Alien, but it's still cool!
