Great question! About 75% of my views are from shorts, yet around 75% of my revenue is from long form content 😅

For anyone having trouble adding in OBS and not wanting to sift through comments or doing this weird "workaround" of deleting the OBS file that the video creator is stating (which shouldn't even exist if OBS never existed as a plugin in the first place): Click the cogwheel next to your profile icon on the top right-ish > click Plugins tab > click the + button > in the browser, add in the OBS plugin. Done.

Wsg! I saw your short about how much you make a month, how did you get monetized? KZbin requires so many views to get monetized :( how did you do it so quickly?

Hey! I met the threshold of 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours. After that I applied to the KZbin Partner Program and got accepted rather quickly. I had plenty of tutorials that gained a lot of traction getting me a lot of watch hours so that’s how I reached the requirements. Remember that Shorts watch time doesn’t count towards the monetization threshold of 4000 hours. I can’t say precisely what you should do but research what type of content is successful within your content type and see how you can improve it! Take inspiration from previous successes. What if Stream Deck THINKS a plugin is already installed, but it doesn't show up in this folder or in the UI... and the plugins website just shows "open stream deck" instead of "Get"?

I remember my first paycheck when there was no rules for monetisation.🤣 you could literally get like 10 Dollars a month and still get paid. I was a small youtube channel and that was long time ago. More than few years later started my channel and staying consistent.

Yup I remember you needed 10000 views to apply for monetization many years ago and when I reached it they changed the threshold to 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours. But hey, good luck with your channel! 😊

I get paid around 25 cents per 1000 views on shorts.. why is everyone only getting 1-6 cents?
