I don't put ads on my videos. Those are placed there by KZbin and I don't get any benefit. KZbin is getting worse and worse

@@ether5750 Sorry to hear that. I get several ads which are over a minute long each (ad blockers seem to have stopped working). I would've loved to watch and learn, but the ads just make me angry :(

This is probably just my ignorance but how are you doing so much damage while just ignoring the breakbar? Just started playing condi Virt and i feel like every time i run up against an elite or champion with a break bar i cant make a dent without moa and the F3 spam.

Defiance bars do not increase the enemy's defenses. Breaking the bar lowers their defenses for a few seconds. I was saving my moa signet to interrupt the boss below 10%hp, when it leaps back and starts a life stealing attack that might very well heal it back up to 50% hp or more. But it died before it could do that attack.

@@ether5750 ok thanks for the clarification. I think I've always viewed them as like damage mitigation until you break the bar but I guess that's mechanically wrong.

You can't have 3 shades up permanently without alacrity. Just always use F1 before sceptre 3 would be a simple reminder

I hate how clones die with the enemy you target. This build is fine for big bosses and enemies. But it really sucks whenever there is a group of enemies you cant cleave

That has always been mesmer's weakness by design. Virtuoso fixes that, but removes clones

Nicee, awesome video! I would like to ask you, how do you do that 180° camera swap without changing the direction of your movement? Like you did at 0:30. I tried doing that with "About face" but it changes my movement direction...

Thanks. That's the look behind keybind. It moves the camera but not the character. It's not active by default, you have to set up a keybind for it in the options

I started the game fresh after some years and im a bit lost when it comes to ascended crafting. I looked up many guides but i still cant rly figure out how to get a specific type of gear from exotic to ascended. Could you give me a quick explanation on how to get lets say your weapon in the vid from exotic to ascended?

You can't upgrade/enchant gear. You get ascended gear and then trash your old now worthless exotic gear

lol I know what you mean. I am a big fan of GW1 (still play sometimes) and I loved the hero/henchmen system because it always felt like you were playing with others. I main Mesmer and the clones feel kind of like henchmen. I love it.

I didn't realize the clones died when the enemies died. I kept going "wth is killing all his clones at the start" till I saw the ads going down. I thought clones just redirect. It seems like Elite enemies with heavy ad support will require cleaving over direct targeting, otherwise you'll go through clones too fast.

Clones and phantasms die when their target dies, yes This build already has a lot of cleaving. The auto attack from you and your clones bounces, and Chaos Orb (the mirage staff dodge skill) hits 5 targets in a line, so it cleaves with good positioning The build also never struggles with clone generation, you summon 1 clone with each dodge and you dodge a lot. And clones summoned by dodging attack the nearest target, further helping with cleaving while you just keep attacking the main enemy
