Findhorn Foundation, in my view, was hit with 9 og the 10 canon balls you list. We were hit with differential pay for the ‘important jobs’, we spent a lot of money on paying for some members private housing, burn outs, lack of community building, decisions by trustees and board were handed down which was a brilliant way to defer conflicts, externals were hired in without going through ‘the school’ and given powers to decide. And when the armada of Covid arrived, 100 members were jettisoned. But the ship could no longer be kept afloat. I wish we had all seen your video 10 years ago.

The major problem is that spiritual people are brain dead, and can't possibly function successfully in any real-world situation, since they believe in a totally fake spiritual world, and they deny that they are living in world of material reality only. When low IQ and mental illness meet in one person, or in a group, nothing will ever work right.

Thankyou, very good points of view! To love yourself and also love (and/or respect) others. To feel like you want to give to the community, to appreciate what you recieve and life itself... Not give because of guilt or demand, to give from your heart and the abundance you find and live in... That is a true challenge to deepen into love and trust the flow and energys, that there is always enough for and to everyone. There is always something I/we can give and also be open to recieve, to fill up the energy to be able to give even more, heartfully ❤...

Wow, Celastrina, your insights and overall presentation, is brilliant. Thank you for sharing! You could save people a lot of unnecessary suffering if they would simply heed your counsel. You could also do reviews on successful eco villages/communities as well to provide examples of how they've succeeded. 😊💙

Intentional living? It’s just capitalism existing. They offer a luxury product (communal living) and offer people to pay luxury prices to come experience it 😭😂 it’s the opposite of what it’s meant to actually represent. A shame, stop scamming.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! I do believe that intentional communities have much to offer. One of the problems of intentional communities, of many varieties, is the tendency to be too inwardly focused. I realize some of this may be unavoidable on an individual community level, but it makes it difficult for the rest of us in the world to learn what is happening without making a concerted effort to explore community. I would venture to say that most people in the world know little to nothing about intentional communities or what they might offer humanity. To be a viable option for living differently and cooperatively, it seems intentional communities themselves, their advocacy organizations, and even other allies and supporters to be out there promoting what communities can offer. To be a viable alternative, I also suspect some marketing savvy is required to target different kinds of communities to the needs of different people. Not everyone is able to become a local farmer in remote rural areas, but they might be open to an urban communal arrangement which is environmentally more sound than the current urban/suburban lifestyles. I would like to learn how intentional communities might navigate the emerging AI and AGI world as I believe it might even enhance adoption of many of the intentional community values, not to mention the formation of communities themselves, which were difficult to achieve in times past.

Thank you for your insightful informations 🙏🏼❤️ I'm seeking advice on achieving financial stability through online opportunities that allow for location independence. So, that I can contribute positively and bring also kind of financial stability within any community when I come to join without being a burden. Could you share examples of meaningful online ventures or existing companies where one can build something valuable and sustainable? Some options that have proven successful for others over the years? Thank you 😊

You have to be a free, self-confident, high-performing person to be a member of an Intentional Community. These are roughly the character traits of an entrepreneurial person. However, the vast majority of people are employee types. This is how we experience the world going to the dogs. People can't love and organize themselves.
@celastrinarebecka
@celastrinarebecka Ай бұрын
@@GreenJack451 I agree that this makes things much easier. However since we’re all different there needs to be some structures in place that can facilitate everyone. I do believe that having free and self-confident people is an ideal for any society that truly wants to evolve and have its members evolve ☺️

@@celastrinarebecka You have point out all the right things in the video. But my question, and especially for my self, how can I get there, to be this free minded, self-confident human. You are also right, we need that in every connection that people have in order to live in peace and understanding. . But how do I get there, if I am lost at all. Do we need an advisor, teaching, spiritual leader to show the path for the lost? Someone like Jesus for example (you can point out others, if you want)

Great video! In my community (about 50 people), we have significant problems with the fact that about 15 of us are doing the vast majority of the work. We 15 are always exhausted and spend almost all our time just keeping the place running. The others just show up and somewhat take it for granted that things will get done. We've tried many different methods to get people more involved: coercion, cake, empathy, scolding. But nothing works. I would love it if you could make a video about it, if you have any relevant knowledge.
@celastrinarebecka
@celastrinarebecka Ай бұрын
thank you Emma! This is a problem many communities face! In my community it's been resolved with obligatory turns for essential things in the community, like cooking, cleaning up/cleaning spaces and other everyday tasks (iit depends ofc on the needs of the community). These turns rotate equally on all people and if someone can't do it's turn you can change with someone else or also pay someone to do it for you, which has helped many people who were looking for jobs when just arriving to the community. I've realized that the best thing is to over-organize everything and have many clear roles. Another thing we do is that each person is responsiible for one area (economics, food, gardens etc). Each person is like a project manager for their specific area, this also helps a lot. Organizing in this way, keeping track, writing down decisions and so on helps with conflict resolution and makes everything clear to everyone
