It seems you’re equating freedom with free will - the ability to choose. Free will assumes there’s a separate individual. This is the dream - that there is a separate individual. It’s just dualism. There is no separate individual to awaken or become enlightened. You are always already that which you seek. In reality, there is no separation - only boundless freedom appearing as all that is.

Interesting that you're bringing this up, I think that the two are very connected, since our sense of freedom is a very personal sense, since our perception of the world is very individual. And in that I completely agree with what you say, there's nothing separate, we Are the Dream, that is why we can realise what we want, since we don't need to work with anything external from ourselves, everything is just a reflection of our oneness. There is the egoïc will & the higher divine will for the path of each of us on earth. We have to let melt the seeming individual will in the higher one we share altogether to experience our true oneness again. This perspective could perhaps contribute combining what you both were saying. (Sorry for my English, I am German)

The New Age movement always leaves you with another question... it claims to have the answer then another question... its endless. Meditation is not Peace. Peace is not the absence of war or a quiet field or a meditative state of mind. I could use words to tell you ,from my unique point of perspective, what Peace is... The heart asking the Quest-i-on is the invitation to the One from where Peace comes from.

Thank you Ellinor! Yes its open for people to come and live. we have programs that are called Community Life Campus that are 10 day programs for people who are interested in moving to Damanhur. English is a good start for sure! But if deciding to stay you'll see that your italian comes very easily 😘

I don't think there is a general answer to that. For some people growth - spiritually or otherwise - can mean they need to part ways with people, probably. In which general direction is each person looking and going in their lifes? And the middle ground to meet between those - is it too far from anyones true self, so that they need to bend and stretch to make it work? But that's not something anyone else can or should tell you to do. In fact I think if you come across a teacher who tells you to abandon such a relationship it's better to reevaluate the relationship to the teacher.. for me personally, I find that my family and my romantic partnerships are actually the greatest opportunities to learn and grow, a gift that keeps on giving. I find myself in pain about my mother not being open to all of me, to be so stuck in her faith that my spirituality is fended off, as if it's dangerous to hers.. When I take back control and look at myself and find - well I am not open to let her be who she is, to let her be in a fixed mindset and dependent if that is where she is. So because I cannot easily escape these situations they are most potent for me to learn..
