For the future, unless the parents aren’t around, or baby is at risk, leave the baby alone. It’s normal for Mockingbirds to leave the nest early before they can fly.

I just found one in my porch … Just like your when you started the video … Btw no sign of the parents . Only few stray cats around The side of my house curiously watching. How many times did you start off feeding him ? And how many servings should I offer? Thank you

Great job. I wish you were telling what you were feeding it. And where can I get those worms.

That is not accurate. I have raised numerous wild birds they do imprint they do however revert back to what they are wild creatures.

Awesome video. I see this happened four years ago, but if you still receive seeds from the Mockingbirds, plant them. its something good for you. She's giving you a gift in return for feeding her what she likes.

Question: did he learn to peck on his own? I’m bottle feeding and I can’t get him to peck. Btw do you still have Leggs or did he fly away ?

Legs has brought a tear to my eye... he was so sweet... I always say the saddest day of my life was when my mockingbird "Peeps" passed away. We didn't release him (like some other ones we rescued) because it was a very bad fire season, super smokey and hot. So for maybe ~13 years, we made each other happy. Peeps would always sing along when I played my harp hehe, and he loved whistling the Andy Griffith theme. He could be fiesty too sometimes! It's been over 5 years, still I miss him so much... <3 You raised Legs so well! ^_^ Thank you for letting me reminisce... 🌸🌷🐥🌻🌿

Wait did Eleanor's species change? On the old ref she was a collared lizard but now she's a tokay gecko. Cool! It's a-ok to make adjustments to OCs, I've done character adjusting in the past.

I love how the first few seconds don't sound creepy and then a few seconds later a creepy choir plays and then it goes back to normal and sounds like an average pop song. Also the choir sounds like it's from a movie from the 40's XDD

My dad has a flock of 25 he cares for in his garage. Very very sweet birds, and if they imprint onto you than you'll have a friend for a bit. Unfortunately, house finches are extremely fragile, you can cause them to have a heart attack if you look at them wrong. Males are a brilliant red.

This is terrific! You’re a true bird whisperer! I have probably an odd question - are the feet on Mockingbirds larger than other passerines? I know it sounds strange, but they always look wider, or more splayed out in comparison to Blue Jays, Robins, etc. Strong looking.
