Mozart have used a Fortepiano by Walter, built in 1782. Now in the House of his birth in Salzburg.

This is so good! But the cadenza.... very musical... but it sounded not so spontaneous.... otherwise this was a wonderful performance! Thanks for posting.

Mozart is a master on writing marvellous passages for the woodwind instruments. He gets me like 😲 all the time.

Great performance. In his concertos, Mozart always has a special way to introduce the solo instrument after the orchestra stares the main theme(s). The way the traverso flute comes in Mozart's Flute Concerto in D major is superpeb: flying triunphant, flamboyant and stately over the orchestra.

What a tenacity!! Brilliant and powerful! The flutist (Is he playing a Quantz model traverso?) was brave on fighting against these furious string and harpsichord ensemble. Thumbs up!

Mozart is infinitely better on period instruments!
@christianwouters67642 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. The modern piano gives Mozarts' work a "children's tune" quality which the music doesn't deserve.

When the performer and the instrument replica are right, yes it is. This is one of those cases.
