A masterpiece. The pacing, the drama, the skill and the emotion, it’s all there.

Underrated band from the mid 1980's to early 1990's. "Into The Mirror Black" was an awesome album. --Refuge Denied (1988) --Into the Mirror Black (1990) (Then they became Nevermore) --Year The Sun Died (2014) RIP Warrel Dane.

Steve Zimmerman Joe Dibiase are the best rhythm combo. John as always high range voice. Matheos, Frank playing as one so synchromatic.

They need to just get Arch back as their permanent singer. I have huge respect for what Ray did once, but his voice today is so shut that it limits Fates Warning's output. It makes their music sound like a discount version of their early music. They simply cannot prosper without a powerful singer at the helm...

This album is a must have for all music lovers.... And it reminds me of Mike Portnoy`s answer to how influential and innovative Dream Theatre was... He simply said, that they didn't do anything new, they just repeated what Fates Warning had done many years before them. ..

This album is so underrated, it isn't even funny. This lineup had a magic that they never really recovered. Some of their newer stuff is decent, but it doesn't compare to this. But at least we got this brief reunion preserved to see.
