Sure, she’s from Belgium. Anyone would be more warm annd friendly. Any American or European man there is NOT looking her way. A 304 would have success there because she’s a novelty.

Foreigners might think we’re staring, but for us, it’s not staring-it’s observing. 😄 It’s also a way of communicating. We Filipinos express ourselves with our facial expressions and hand gestures-something you’ve probably noticed! 😂 Expect lots of animated hand movements, wide-eyed excitement when we’re sharing something thrilling, and, of course, plenty of loud laughter.

We had a couple of foreign kids back when I was in Highschool. Other Asians, Americans, sometimes half. It was a private school. And we had this black girl in grade school who transferred. I remember her being kinda insecure about her hair and the teachers always telling her your hair look beautiful to try and encourage her. Idk cause to me and my classmates her hair did look cool cause it was the big afro ones not like the Filipino curly hair type. And sometimes I'd see her kinda sad and her classmates kinda encouraging her and supporting her so I asked them if anyone was bullying her. Being a 5'10 Filipino kid I was practically the biggest kid in school and I had a big group so I thought I'd say something to these bullies. But no she was just kinda worrying and insecure about stuff cause she knows the common Filipino beauty standards and she might be the opposite of it. But I have to say I'm proud of those kids for treating her kindness instead of teasing her which can't be avoided with kids.

I'm a year late in joining you; thus, so is my greetings and POV: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all four of you. The thing that I noticed about the Filipino men is their shyness. Whether they're talking to Filipinas or women from foreign countries, Filipino men are reserved, generally speaking, almost to a fault. Such reservedness leads Filipinas to find men from the West more attractive; Filipinas like men who appear to know what they want and are assertive, as most women do, I think. And you're right to think that the English language is a chasm standing in the way of connection. The four of you are good-looking, articulate, and intelligent. The Filipino men that will cross that chasm to be with you exist, albeit few. I like your podcast.

This sounds stereotyping...but most filipino people they like foreigners specially from the West and Europe...they treat them differently than the locals...and tagalog language is not considered as a "must-learn language" ....English language still dominates , Spanish and Chinese mandarin .

Actually before the 70s most of our famous actors are of mixed race. Most of them products of interracial marriages during the spanish, american and japanese occupation not to mention the chinese who were the earlier settlers of the country. It was not until the discovery of superstar nora aunor that the ideal look for movie stars have changed. Her very filipina look was embraced by the millions of fans. After her, came the diversity in pinoy looks, morena and mestisa found their own niche in the movies.

EVERY tv show and movies in the Philippines is about cheating, it is so disgusting that every show you see, you just have to guess "who will cheat?" All these show and movies where young people.grow up watching, normalizing cheating and will then cheat themselves because they were raised on it being ok, as everyone does it on tv/movies
