roman kim might be once considered the most skilled violin player of all times. but as every peace seems to be an incredible battle that is to be won, i guess he will never have the largest audience. it is just not what music is about.

I get you're a violin nerd, talking about vibrato and crescendo and all this. You're a talented violinist but youre annoying as well.

As a musician, it would be much more satisfying to actually learn to play.

I believe this is related to systemic issues, cultural barriers, cultural expectations, and historical factors, rather than classical music itself. Like how is Waldstein sonata by Beethoven, which I played and listened so many time racist? I am Chinese and I don’t get offended at all, all I experienced is pure brilliance of passion and emotions with great depth. It doesn’t matter who wrote the music, it is a great creation by the human race.

If you break your arm you will never play the same again. Does this apply to both arms and what happens if you use lose your pinky on your bow hand?

I went to school for accounting and music, piano performance, and i can tell this dude is a bro. He seems like a genuinely awesome guy to hang around with. Someone to push you, laugh with you, chill with you. I like his demeanor. Thanks for sharing this!

Nick has a true, and rare talent. He was able to play the Violin so beautifully after an incredibly large amount of time of not playing. It is completely clear that he put so much effort into practicing. No wonder he went to the best music school in the world for 2 years.

Fact for many people, yes, when getting older you will have muscle pain, lower mobility, etc. but not for everyone, some people go their entire lives without muscle pain, they run marathons and are as active as anyone, my grandpa is 76 and travels a lot and is super high energy, he has only ever had a small cold a couple times in his life and can outrun most teenagers, he was a professional bare back rider for 30 years and has zero join pain. Muscle pain and joint problems are not inevitable!

if i'm not mistaken Tatsuki Narita also does the 3 down 1 up bowing for paganini 5 (it's on youtube under "Tatsuki Narita, 24 Paganini Caprices" kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4jWc4x4qd-oo5Y where he played all 24 in one concert LOL) that video is also notable for his ridiculously fast staccato in caprice 21 around the 1:14:39 mark

YoEun's Mom told me that when she was 2 she went to a friend's music lesson. When she got home she asked for s violin. Her Mom said okay when you get older but she kept pestering her Mom until she gave in. Then YoEun slept with it and it was the first thing she reached for when she awoke. Her Mom never made her practice but sometimes had to make her stop. The rest is history. At 4 she was composing.
