Great Video! So much value

Something about this approach seems off to me. Owning the land, great--but selling your grapes--not. Much of this video approaches wine like a Wall Street business--the real family-owned wineries --I hope they never operate this way.

Great to listen to one of the folks who changed the wine industry. One of the smartest folks you could listen to if you want to understand how the Napa wine world got to where it is today and where it is going. And why.

Great video thanks for the information. My family and I have just recently acquired a small vineyard in Texas and one of my goals is to buy more land, however, it's getting a lot of push back due to how expensive it is to start vines per acre and the return could take up to 4 - 5 years. This isn't the first video of yours I've watched where an old timer, highly successful owner has only one regret and that is not buying more land.

I just hope that you want to be fair to your supplier. It seems to me that your arrogant/toug/aggressive (meant in good way) behaviour is necessary to succeed in long run. Many important information provided. Thank you

I’m new to the videos but I’m curious about the business side. As far as the initial start up cost of an operation like this, did you go to the bank with the proposition for a loan amount you had in mind? I’m wanting to break into the winery business, but I’m not sure how to start.

This video was so well made. I learned a great deal, have so much respect for this family, and will appreciate Napa more than I ever have. I'm fortunate to work in and around Napa and I will appreciate it so much more now. Great production.

Great story well told. In the mid-80's I had the opportunity to work on the edge of Mr. Shoup's team, running advertising programs for Chateau Ste. Michelle. It was obvious even then that he was/is a visionary individual.
