I came across this video as I was preparing a lecture for my students on sensory processing and sensory play and who do I see? One of my grad school teaching assistants (not sure of the title). July 29 2024-Watching this as part of a Child Development Class. Excellent. I wish I had encountered this material sooner. It makes a lot of sense. As I am sure a lot of other people have observed -- there are many adults with self-regulation problems. Indeed our unequal society itself promotes a lack of self-regulation, i.e. those in power are allowed to express anger but those below are discouraged highly - in other words do not have an equal the right to feel anger or being upset.

This video was long but not boring and well done! It does a great job of explaining the research behind play-based learning, as well as the methodologies. Great job doing this in laymen's terms so that I can refer my parents (and administrators) to this information!

Education from birth through high school has always been a Collaborative Partnership with parents! And, it’s usual includes the Community, as well! So, if your parent audience thinks they’re not a significant part of this partnership, I’m glad you’re bringing it up & to everyone’s attention. Everyone benefits from our children being well educated, therefore should take an interest & participate in it, as much as possible!! Nice video!!
