If you still have that, you should figure out a way to test the capacity. One I have has only 22ah capacity. I've had mine for two years. Maybe has 50-75 charge cycles. Most times I used it down to 12.9 and fully charged it. Majority of its life it had a 0.5a load. Charged it at 5a. Recently did a couple full discharge and recharge cycles with a battery monitor I just bought. Pretty easy life for only having 75% of its rated capacity. Think I got a lemon or maybe it's counterfeit or something.

Granted ifishpro is not ideal they're clumsy they have a weird trigger mechanism but honestly they're about the best I've found so far. I have not used the finicky fooler yet but that will be next on my list to order! I have caught some very big fish on the iFish Pro though

When i first saw this thing I thought it looked and sounded like cheap junk plastic and wasnt easily packable. I built a cheap and easy to used auto hooker with a piece of fenceboard, berkly coiled rod holder cut shorter and a diy line trigger. Works great. Thanks for your review.

I have a Jiffy 4G, heavy but it would give that electric a good run for less money and no expensive battery to change out after 5 years. Given the electric is lighter for running around with, each person has their preference.

Thanks, I’m thinking of getting a couple of these for my ice shanty as it’s narrow and can blow over with strong winds , another idea i had was to use the auger to make 2 holes sink a stick with rope tied to the middle and get it to go across the hole on the bottom , then tie the rope to the shanty . What do you think?

The lithium Ion from Marcum drops to an unusable level long before you get to 12Ah's. You only get a hair under 7Ah's out of it and that's at room temperature testing. So you will get a lot more run time out of the 10Ah LiFePo4 battery.

If you’re fishin wacky style, cost is not a factor, because you can fish one bait all day long and its still no worse for wear.

How do you haul it now? I'm about to do this same mod on my 2017 pa 14 but I haul it in the bed of my truck. I don't like the idea of it riding on this peice of plastic protruding in the center. Any ideas?

This is what I have been debating with myself the last 2 weeks!!!! my argument is why can't I just get the tickle stick in light? I really want the bullwhip, but I wanna be able to justify it. It's like choosing between a NRX or GLX when I was looking up open water rods. Good vid BTW.

@MinnesotaFishingBrothers
@MinnesotaFishingBrothers Жыл бұрын
Substantially heavier, but substantially more battery life. You can get the 24v in 6 and 8 inch, and the 40v in 8 and 10 inch. So it's really about what you see looking for. The 24v wasn't available when I bought this 4 years ago, so I didn't have a choice at the time. May have went with the 24v if I did.

This is cleaner and nicer than the ones I had used. However, I recently tried the otter one and that is quite slick, so I will be using that. This method works well for clear clean ice, but not so well for white ice with snow or slush on it.

@@cswanson ice and wood are very different. Wood is fibers where ice is crystals. Im sure this works most days but if its blowing 30mph im not trusting that at all. Also if its above freezing or there direct sun they will melt out in minutes. If its 5mph sure use it but this is not how there made to be used at all
