I don't know if this was really in 1993 because he joined Ozzy in 1987 and by 1993 he wasn't playing little shit hole gigs like this anymore and he also wasn't playing with other no name hack players like this either, so I think somebody messed up on the date that this took place, but that's ok it's still kinda cool to watch

It's something of a popular view nowadays to bash him for being stuck in the pentatonic blues scale but we praise Randy Rhoads and Jake E Lee. Yet Zakk played their solos live effortless and with ease.

I remember in the 80s, I went to see Jake E Lee in Ozzy. I wasn't into Ozzy, I found his vocals whiney. Anyway, I was devastated when Zakk came on stage. I stood at the back watching this shirtless Headbanger for the whole concert. I loved Jake, I've never been able to get into Zakk. I hated him. I was 15 and seriously loyal to Jake. Still not a Zakk fan but I don't hate him anymore.

He wasn't better back then........ You just haven't heard his stuff yet &it was NEW to you, that's what made it better.

No, he was better back then. All the chicken picken and most rock influence is gone from his playing. The tone also is now darker, muddier and more saturated.

I've been trying to figure this out for a while. This video is really close and sounds great (and better than BD played it live from what I can find on the net), but doesn't quite match the original recording to my ear. In the opening guitar riff I hear a 4 string B chord and I'm pretty sure it alternates between the 4 sting B and a 3-string A which is pretty tough to play cleanly. I think it's an ES 335 by the way. (The second guitar - Les Paul - plays the 3 string B dropping the low B to an A as shown in the video.)
