I recently made a old stick fingers deck and I’ve had a lot of fun with it, I dont know if you have your commanders already planned but I loved your jolly balloon man deck so much I built my own. If you’re not opposed to old stick fingers I think he should be one of the commanders you build for sure! Love your content btw man

Missed a few outs here. Would have blocked and kept the Tyrant alive. You were dead on next turn, so 11 life or 1 life doesn't make a difference. Even with the bad block, sacrifice the Tyrant to altar to trigger Korvold. Unless I missed it, that dragon doesn't have trample, and therefore no damage carries over to you. Probably still would have lost, but maybe for next time.

No offense but the “we don’t want to play more than 1 land a turn” like kinda threw/turned me off. Sounded like you corrected yourself but yes indeed this deck wants to play more than 1 land a turn. Thats the whole point 😂😅

Im new to mtg and this is the one i went with. Im going to use few that you put in. I have list of other ones that will be really good. Carrion feeder, oversear of the damed, butcher of malakir, aftermath anltst,doomwhisper,stinkweed lmp,sheolderd whispering one,valgavoth terror eater,toxic deluge,mesmeric orb,portal to phyrexia.

You're making too many cuts. Its hard to follow who's turn it is. Good idea, would be to add some text over the video. Simple turn indicator or perhaps, last card player visible on the side. Sort of like what PlayingWithPower does on their youtube video. Other than that, good video!

I don't know if I understand it right or not but you can't -2 Ral and then cast a copy spell without a legal target in the stack to begin a loop. You can't play a spell without a target in the first place.

As a newcomer to Commander it's really cool to see all the different commander decks in action. my question is: How could you have won with your deck? Match felt a bit too short to really showcase your deck.

If you do not mind, I'd like to offer some constructive criticism about this video. I found you on the KZbin front page and I like this fast-paced style, but I think it could use some improvements. The graphics are well made, but the cards zooming all over the place aren't really helpful in focusing the viewer's attention to what's being played in that exact moment. I see there's a good amount of empty space on the side of the video: maybe you could reserve that for the card that's being currently played/used, keeping the actual image of the card still to help people read it better. The commentary is very fast-paced, but I don't think it does justice to how the game is progressing. I knew every single card that the two of you played and yet I had a fairly hard time following the flow of the game. I would appreciate more insight into your thought process, what strategy you are trying to put in place or board state that you want to achieve. As it stands, I am seeing a series of cards being played one after the other with little context as to how they all relate or what they aim to achieve. I think there is a good precedent for short-form MtG content as done by other fairly big MtG channels, and it's very hard to make since Magic is such a complex and varied game. I think you're doing well but you might want to polish these aspects that might turn off new viewers like me. All in all, I wish you the best of luck for the future of your channel!

Wow, thanks for this deck tech! I thought about building this guy, when I got the Paradox Power precon on sale. But there is admittedly almost no EDH content for this guy on youtube. My first concept was to build around artifact creatures with modular. But I think I prefer your deck way more. I didn’t know that there are that many mono-blue creatures that can give themselves +1/+1 counters.

Was your opponent unfamiliar piloting the Varina deck? I have one that I play semi-regularly and it did not seem like he knew what the gameplan was with that deck. The biggest thing was that he did not seem to use Varina's ability to create Zombies from his Graveyard, which can be done at instant speed. And I believe could be done in response to N'gathrod choosing which target to return.

Mirran Spy instead of the golem and Paradise Mantle instead of the enchantment puts this a lot lower to the ground. Banishing Knack or Retraction Helix and an Ornithopter instead of Drake nets you infinite mana on top of the clues. Crackdown Construct is a sleeper pick, here.

You could also do this with academy manufacturer, urza lord high artificer, concordant crossroads+cryptolith rite/enduring vitality, traxos + leyline immersion, or , my favorite, Titania + felidar retreat + warren soultrader + impact tremors + zur, the enchanter instead of the golem

I have thought about making a jolly balloon man, as my favorite deck currently is Jaxis the Troublemaker, which is basically a mono red version of the JBM, but i cant bring myself to as i know i would want to cannibalize my jaxis deck for JBM.

You should play Duel Commander and play 20 life (No Commander Damage) or 30 life (with Commander Damage) variants instead of 40. Look up the ban lists for Duel Commander, which is different than 4 player EDH. Duel Commander is more aggressive overall, and removal is heavily favored.
