I've never played against one or played one but I'm sure it could be a good deck since you only have one opponent

Yeah true our videos aren't exactly traditional 1v1 so it's a little different it's just regular commander but we're playing 1v1 but yea I mean going wide is a good strategy against 1 opponent

Was your opponent unfamiliar piloting the Varina deck? I have one that I play semi-regularly and it did not seem like he knew what the gameplan was with that deck. The biggest thing was that he did not seem to use Varina's ability to create Zombies from his Graveyard, which can be done at instant speed. And I believe could be done in response to N'gathrod choosing which target to return.

He doesn't play it often and probably just forgot about the second ability he doesn't care for the deck much but he hasn't switched to anyone else for zombies yet not sure why

@@GoToCombat That sounds like my wife! I made her a Varina deck because she wanted to play with Zombies and it did not go well. I made her a Wilhelt deck instead and she loves that one (its her main deck). So he might just need to get Wilhelt and change out the Commander.

@wraithalcon yea he's been thinking about switching to scarab god but I'm thinking he wants an esper zombie commander
