Speaking about Gumbuya World having a wooden rollercoaster, this should be built as a replica of "The Big Dipper" that was once built at Melbourne Luna Park in 1923 until it disappeared in 1989. It's rumoured that the original plans for the "Big Dipper" have been preserved and Lindsay Fox did plan to rebuild that wooden coaster which turned out to be a pipe dream. I just like Gumbuya World to one day have room for looping coasters. That wooden rollercoaster could have a miniature Luna Park face as the entrance to embrace that it's a rebuild of what both Luna Parks had as a theming painted yellow. If the wooden rollercoaster is next to the swimming area, why not have multi coloured Brighton beach boxes that can be rented for a day for Birthday parties and other functions? Even have barristers to embrace the Melbourne Coffee culture. I am talking about making this as a barrier to Melbournise it.

I personally put hyperia above DC Rivals for the following reasons Pacing is better Better airtime Better hangtime Marginally better theming (the drama of the station and the landscaping improvements they have made over the close season have made the area look quite pleasant now actually) Better elements Better stats However I do like DC Rivals for the following reasons More intense Backwards seat Longer ride experience So in my books hyperia gets 6/9 points making it the better ride overall, though the theming category could go either way depending on how I’m feeling

And that’s something I like about this guys rankings. While he agrees at times with the coaster community, he doesn’t let the community completely influence his rankings, and isn’t scared to speak his own opinion, even against larger creators.

Tnt and scooby above tower of terror?! Cmon!
@MaloneysCoasters17 сағат бұрын
Tower of Terror is a straight shuttle. There's absolutely nothing to the ride experience. I love it, but TNT and Scooby are family rides that offer a whole lot
@thatlldo424715 сағат бұрын
@MaloneysCoasters It was pretty well themed, and while it was only a straight shuttle, it was to a high, even by today's standards, speed and height, and backwards in the 2nd iteration.

I wouldn’t really say it’s the “best” one, that probably goes to the ones made by Magictecture. For me, the best one was Shadow Stalker. But this one is definitely up there towards the top though!

Thank you :D I have my first job in radio to thank for that, I've always enjoyed the challenge of interviewing and finding ways to get the best from each guest's different insights and personality. I hope to do a lot more in 2025!

This was my first ever coaster I ever did in 2014 on a trip from Melbourne to see my boyfriend at the time. I think it had just opened and it changed my life in many ways. I went back last month and did it 7 times in one day, including one ride I was on my own. It's definitely gotten a bit beat-up but I still really enjoyed it.

I'm soft planning Hot Euro Summer and I do want to get here. It's good to get a bit of warning that it might be unreliable. I've accepted the fact it's going to be busy but I would be curious what the fastpass situation is.
@MaloneysCoasters2 күн бұрын
Fast passes were available through the app, so you can purchase them in park. I originally didn’t plan to use them so I just purchased two individual fast passes for Smiler and Th13teen, and waited in regular queues for the rest. It was 10 pounds for each individual fast pass

Goudurix looks to be made by Arrow, basing off the track design, the company that kept using hand calculations and drawings for coaster designs when computer simulated coaster design was getting popular amongst other companies. It would explain why the profile and the transitions are harsh and the poor trains, of which the wheels aren't 100% making contact in each direction, explaining the bumpiness. If I'm wrong on the company that made Goudurix, here's more depth on Arrow's designs if you're interested: Coasters made by Arrow before they went with computer simulation consist of straight track and uniform circular shapes/angles in their turns and loops, nothing like the variable curves seen on other coasters that smoothly take you in and out of transitions in the coasters of today. This uniformity was the limitation of hand calculated work done by the designers. As already mentioned, every coaster company followed this process before adapting simulation. Even after switching to simulations, arrow continued to work their transitions by the relativity of the right or left wheels on the trains, which always switched depending on the turn the coaster would take. So instead of following one wheel to work their track shape, it would switch up to the other wheel on the other side before the next turn and throw the smoothness off and create a weird riding experience. The Gold Coaster in Dreamworld Australia is by Arrow and is also quite rough. It consists of uniform circular, awkward, shapes but I am unsure if it was made before or after the computer simulated help. Transitions on that coaster aren't as harsh either but oh boy it hurts to ride.

They need to revive "Emerald City Express" that was supposed to go to an Oz theme park where the Kansas Speedway exists today. Although that layout exists as Disney bought it for California Adventure (if only going to Disney wasn't a logistical nightmare) so I guess I can experience it if I want.
