After they get close with this tactic retreat battle in outnumbered battles so u restart with full force and the enemy has less . Won many battles this way.

basically the horse archer tactic used by parthia, huns, and mogols, but without the horses lol

Skirmishers are one of my favorites, i hold fire on them till the enemy is real close and when they all let fly at once it just demolishes their shields, then the fians clean up while the wall holds

Am I the only one that noticed that the bar of troops weren't matched meaning it was never 500vs500... remember that there are some perks that allow you to start with more soldiers on the field which makes the enemy amount drop.

lmao, dude lost half his troops. Alexander vs the Saka at Jaxartes shows a better option. Send in some heavy infantry in a square formation as bait allowing the horse archers to envelop them Sturgian Spearmen would work well here. Then send lighter skirmishers (Battanian wildlings with Legionaires mixed in) and archers with a centrally located cav (Preferably Vlandian Knights), heavy infantry on the flanks (Legionaires would work well) and more cav on the heavies flanks, pincer and finsh them. You might take casualties with your bait formation but the Square formation will keep them well shielded.

Crazy cool work but idk about any regiment of shot getting their reload rate down to 12 seconds, for both historical and balance purposes you might want it to be be around 20 seconds which is the three rounds a minute that regiments aspired to achieve. 30 seconds would be best though. This way cavalry will have a chance to close the gap between volleys.

The last formation seems the old but very efficient spanish formation called "Tercios"

so doing this requires majority of my forces and alot of time even when against fewer HA, great

in escort missions, cavalry retreat, infantry square and ranged on from rule, when the enemy gets close you get the arrows to square and put them inside the infantry square, just do not forget to make the horses run and to abandon your horse
