I love that some players used the foul ball rule to get fair foul hits. It's very heady baseball imo.

Nothing like early baseball history. However, you missed some things with the Baltimore Orioles. The original Baltimore Orioles were from 1882-1899 in the American Association and the National League. They had players like Willie Keeler, Hughie Jennings, and John McGraw. They won the NL 1894-1896 and were managed by Hall of Fame Manger Foxy Ned Hanlon. He also won 2 NL pennants with the Brooklyn Superbas. John McGraw also played on the 1901-1902 Orioles before jumping to the Giants in the NL in the middle of the 1902 season. Then there was the minor league Baltimore Orioles team. The first iteration was from 1903-1914 and the second iteration was 1916-1953. A number of Hall of Fame players played on the minor league Orioles including Home Run Baker, Babe Ruth, and Lefty Grove. Lefty spent a few years with them as I think the owner was waiting for the right deal before selling him to Connie Mack and the Philadelphia Athletics in 1924.

Little bit of trivia. The Twins traded A. J. Pierzynski to the giants for Joe Nathan, Francisco Liriano, and Boof Bosner. AJ wasn't loved in the locker room and released at the end of the year and the Twins had a big cornerstone of their pitching staff for the next 5 years. Well, Boof was ok.

Boom-Boom Beck had an unfortunate origin for his nickname -- it was said to be the sound of the bat meeting his pitch, immediately followed by the resulting line drive rattling off the Baker Bowl's metal outfield wall. He was the teammate of Hugh "Losing Pitcher" Mulcahy, and between them they were charged with 61 losses for the Philles across 1949 and 1940. Also, lol at Rusty Kuntz's page including a pointed reference to the correct way to pronounce his name.

okay so names you missed that I can think of off the top of my head: Dizzy Dean Daffy Dean (they're brothers!) Spaceman Lee Mordecai "Three-Finger" Brown (teammate to Orval Overall who you did mention) Coco Crisp Kosuke Fukudome (thankfully joined the Cubs *after* Harry Caray died) Rabbit Maranville Satchel Paige Also I feel the list is a bit too heavy with Dicks. There's enough Dicks in MLB history that just having the name Dick isn't enough to be funny. Dick Pole however is definitely funny

I also add Luis Pujols, Albert's uncle, who was a catcher for Houston. Pete LaCock was the son of the late game show host Peter Marshall and nephew of actress Joanne Dru, whose last names were obviously also LaCock since they were brother and sister. Edit: Steamboat Williams and "Mickey Mouse" Melton should've been teammates, for obvious reasons.
