Time has come to release a remix version of this game.

It's a shame that the developers quit. They didn't start making new games. You could see beat em ups from them, which once surpassed the classics, but unfortunately many years have passed and we can’t see anything new.

After playing this game and loving it a few years ago... If it could have just had a console arcade release and crossplay (Xbox, PS, Switch) of sort on consoles and crossplay would have been the cake. Hitting all corners of the fanbase and market I'm just now discovering these videos and it's cool to see how passionate they were with RCRU. Need to boot it up again and grind a new character. I really loved this project. I've tried googling info on Conatus and cant find much. I wish I could see what they are doing now. The passion and finding out about the original soundtrack license issue really hurt. I hope these guys are doing new things and thank them for the official RCR sequel and seeing Ryan and Alex as the middle aged men we all are now when we played them as kids. Thank you.

I would like to hope that from the authors of this fan project we will still see the same high-quality game, whether it is another fan game or a self-sufficient project. But apparently that's unlikely. It's been a while since the release of river city underground.

Lots of fun moves... but its still Missing ALL the Japanese 'Feels' that made kunio what it is.... I was living in japan when kunio reigned supreme. The music is also very "EURO-chip" sounding and Technos wasn't doing it that way. We need a legit japan release from the OG. I dont know what its going to take. But I know that many of the developers who worked on the classic games are still alive today.

This game really needs to be on the Nintendo Switch

This game did not get the attention and love it deserved after it came out. Which is said because this game is such fun multiplayer. (though the milk quest can go fuck itself SOOOOOOOO much)

I played it only in 2021 but game is actually good, all characters feels different, good animations and pixel art. i don't like only some a little things about special moves (like a pressing then holding d-pad buttons for some basic moves like Pop-Up attacks or sweeps like in some other beat'em'up games). I hope to see sequel or something like this. Good job Conatus Creative.
