This game truly captures the spirit of the original and builds multiple juicy layers on top of it. I still go back and play RCR on my NES emulator and it is still a blast. Man I really hope it eventually comes out for PS4 Also I was recently playing Yakuza 0 and just noticed the similarities between it and River City Ransom, I think a lot of the mechanics (like all the eateries you can go eat at to regenerate health, the humor, learning new moves, the random fights, etc) were inspired by River City Ransom, it really is a great representation of a 3-D beat 'em up I wonder if the guys behind River City Ranson: Underground ever played the Yakuza series
