Loathe this movie -- but Jesse L Martin was amazing

The part that gets me every single time is at 1:55 when he turns around as if he just remembered everyone is there and holds the jacket tighter. Literally sends me to tears every time

The song is so pure it really does not need the swelling strings. It would have a more powerful effect with just her and the piano.

I remember watching this scene in high school when this movie came out and wondering if it really captured what it’s like to lose the person you love the most. I held my husbands hand while he took his last breath and it portrays it as accurately as anything could I think. The lingering final note feels like agony.
