Nowhere else like Sark, best place on earth. No cars, no paved roads, no street lights, no vat/tax/social deductions, slow and easy way of life, good fishing, scary cliffs… And the first Dark Sky island in the world, and for very good reason. Been visiting every year for over forty years, got married there a couple of years ago and I intend having my ashes scattered there.❤

I worked there in 2002 as a horse and carriage driver. I loved it. Shame the barely brothers ruined it. Bought most of the island out and shut them down so their main hotel doesn't have competition.

My brother moved to the islands 25 years ago, and he now has his own business and family! I haven't been to sark in nearly 10 years, but it is a absolutely lovely island, very nice people and a truly great place to relax and enjoy a holiday!

LIVED IN GUERNSEY 5 yrs and i have strys to tell about the barcly brothers and sark island IN SARK LAW you can go to te town hall ask to trash your wife they will set how many lashes the whip has to be the width of your little finger..barcly brothers had guernsey men build that fort castle..you had to be at te dock every morning on time regardless of weather the boat was going to sail there or not AND YOU GOT PAYED EITHER WAY...YOU WERE NOT ALLOWED TO LOOK AT TE BROTHERS make eye contact with them or touch them one morning in bad sea the guernsey lads got there on the boat one of the barcly twins fell into the sea a brave young guernsey lad jumped in a saved him...later that day he was ushered away gven a envelope with some money in it and told DUE TO TOUCHING THE BARCLEY TWIN he was no longer allowed to come work on the island TRUE STORYS....
