Trump ready to go on UK trade talks and deals

Fascinating. Trying to herd the 27 eurocats in the EU bag is apparently something that takes years involving experienced and qualified diplomats, endless bag carrying civil servants and endless bureaucracy. And then everything is set in stone and cannot include any form of rethink or flexibility. But it seems Trump is willing to be a "one stop shop" and JFDI.
Sure, we don't expect any huge favours; and we will need to keep counting our fingers after any handshake deals; but do we feel more comfortable dealing with the country that ultimately saved our bacon in two world wars?
