Wouldn’t it be tighter than 45mm on a GFX since the sensor is smaller?
@joshshanksphoto3 сағат бұрын
No, the sensors bigger than full frame so it has a .79x crop factor
@whatcouldgowrong791410 минут бұрын
@ Was referring to medium format as digital medium format is a lot smaller than film?
@joshshanksphoto5 минут бұрын
Yeah, so the 45mm is like a 28mm equivalent on a 645 and a 35mm equivalent on the GFX so yeah it's tighter than the 645 field of view

Hi , I am surprised by the poor sharpness of it wide opened… as it s considered to be a good lens. Is it so difficult to focus with Manuel lenses on gfx ? You don t have the same tool as with the full frame mirrorless ? Then another question because this camera interests me a lot, I see a lot of comments saying this lens or this lens -normally made for full frame « works well » so .i understand with no vignetting on the GFx. Is there a list of all the lenses that enter into this category ?

Excellent video, gorgeous photos, and a very honest message - always keep learning and you will never be bored. Shout out to the YT algo for putting your vid in my feed. 2 years ago, I went to Tokyo and had an incredible time shooting. I made a photobook and left feeling in love with photography. 2023, I was injured and had 2 surgeries for different issues. 2024, I was burnt out working an intense job. Now, heading into autumn, I got an X100VI because i felt like the camera I want on my hip. Portable yet fully capable. It's only been a week but I'm really excited to carry my camera everywhere I go and just shoot to my heart's content!

Hey @joshshanksphoto just wondering how you like the Mamiya 80mm compared to the Mitakon? I like my Mamiya (altough the MF focus is annoying as you say), but I do wonder about the green color cast on my Mamiya and was considering getting the Mitakon instead.
@joshshanksphotoАй бұрын
@@christianklintholm I preferred the Mamiya, for me the 65mm was too close to the 45mm I have to have the 65 and 45, but the 45 and 80 are different enough for me to justify having both. But that's just me, I do miss having a wider focal length like the 65 at times!
@christianklintholmАй бұрын
@@joshshanksphoto I started out with the Fuji 63mm, switched it out for the 50mm pancake and then got the 80mm 1.9 as well. I do miss the 63, but it was too tight for shooting indoor, so wouldn't work as an all around lens for me. The 50mm does that, but it doesn't have character like the 80mm does. Anyways... enough gear talk :)
@1825OREOАй бұрын
What adopter do you guys like? What’s the focal length it becomes on gfx?

I use a fotodiox, it works okay just has a spring that's easy to lose I ended up hot gluing one to secure it. It's a 63mn equivalent

This was a great video dude. I'm going through something similar. I started making music 5 years ago, and as my love grew, I wanted to make it into a career. In the process of trying to make that happen, I get so absorbed in what people love, what they hate; slowly letting that work its way into my writing. Every note I feel scared that it's not enough for the people that I think I'm writing it for. It's so insanely shallow. To create something in this world dedicated to people that I don't know. I just want to write, no fear of external judgment. Anybody can tailor something for someone else, but the personality of the one creating it will then mean nothing. Your point about creating for a higher power is beautiful. In my view, it's creating art for someone who will never provide praise or negative feedback. It is just is, and they have it. You made tangible evidence of your vision, and that's enough because every person is so mf special.

Keep it up - and yes, the 645 lenses were designed for a film size / images larger than the 44x33mm GFX sensor size, so no vignette as you said. I think they will be going up and up in price as GFX (and perhaps other similar systems) become more popular..

This lens is almost completely different on 6x7. Sadly the gfx sensor is just too small. I’d love to see somebody make a 645 to 6x7 speed booster, then I can see this lens being amazing on the GFX.

The lens is incredibly sharp wide open if you can nail the focus. I use it on a 5D mkll with a split screen and usually I can be quite accurate, but I guess medium format can make nailing focus even more difficult, especially if you are not shooting from a tripod.

I wanted to ask you if you could tell the exact recipe used for these shots, specifically for the shots in more-daytime situations, like graduation photos in a pre-golden hour condition 1:24 .
