You payed $1,000 more then what I would pay for a guitar, When I can build one better for $1,000.

Really glad you had a good experience - I’m teetering on ordering but then started seeing horror stories about quality control at the fender mod shop. Looking at a strat with that same all rosewood neck -it looks great. Those pickups sound amazing too.

I hear ya' - buying any guitar online without playing it first is a bit of a dice roll. Especially without a Buyer's Remorse return option. That said - I rolled a 7 with this one! Thanks for watching.

So many jokes I'm not typing here with that setup! But seriously, this lesson was created to introduce common Bender friendly chord shapes and get viewers started with however they wish to pick them. My advice would be to familiarize yourself with the shapes and then pick/bend them as you see fit. Thanks for watching and Keep it Bent!

I love the style benders like you bc already have. I have 6 benders and they are all different setups. My favorited is my Glaser Double Bender. You don’t have to do a double, but the convertible bender is awesome and you would be happy. Also, Joe Glaser can have your bender done in a day and back to you.
@thebenderbunker12 күн бұрын
Howdy! I'm probably leaning that way as I've been meaning to add a G-Bender option onto this channel for years now and the Glaser would allow me to switch back to B if I missed it. Might take a road trip to TN in the Spring and could probably arrange for a drop off/pickup ahead of time. Thanks for watching!

Great job but… It’s not played on a bender (nor a guitar) on the original studio version. Clarence didn’t even have a bender yet and he’s not even playing on the song. It’s all pedal steel played by Lloyd Green in Nashville. All of Clarence White’s parts on the album that he did play were done WITHOUT a bender. He finally had the bender on the Dr. Byrds album.

If you want to play an instrument with the same tuning as a mandolin but with bigger fret spacing try a mandola it's tuned CGDA so if you put a capo on it at the 7th fret is the same as a mandolin GDAE Also try a tenor banjo in Irish tuning which is the same Just an octave lower You can also tune it CGDA the lighter gauge strings that's the same as a mandola Also have you noticed that the bass strings of a guitar are the same

Do you recommend heavier B and G strings on a Bender? I noticed that you use a 10 gauge high E string? What’s the reason for that? What gauge are the rest?
@thebenderbunker7 ай бұрын
I play a lighter gauge on my Tele's and a standard 10-46 on my Les Paul. I use D'Addario EXL120+ sets on the Tele's which run 9.5-11.5-16-24-34-44. I do switch the high E to a 10 as the 9.5 didn't feel right to me. Never had any issues with the B string and the bender. Thanks for watching and Keep it Bent!
