Great video. I bought a b bender 5 years ago and I couldn't quite figure it out. I have yn cased it today. Your lesson to totally inspired me. I'm now a subscriber. Thanks for your efforts.

I don’t know if you might wanna do a video on some of the psychedelic licks White did with Byrds….great job btw this for being there for us benders

Howdy! Just might head that direction someday...you never know! (because I never know until I shoot them!) Until then, this video I posted recently might hold you over as it has a psychedelic bent to it. Thanks for watching and Keep it Bent! Video link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHiWXn2HqKd_edE

Very much appreciated! Learning a lot from your bender lessons. I’d love to see you do a lesson on any of Clarence’s solos live at the Fillmore.

How tight or loose do you have the tension on your Bender? I find that if it's too loose, I activate the bender when I don't want to while on stage. When I adjust the tension higher so that doesn't happen, it takes more force to engage it. And that's not ideal. So it's finding that happy medium. How do you like to set yours?
@thebenderbunker2 жыл бұрын
Howdy! I'd say my bender is both a medium throw and medium tension. I ran a test in an older video where I pick a B note and then let my guitar hang on the strap as I bounce up and down in place. I show a digital tuner pedal on screen while I do this and the B note does not waver so my tension is where I like it as the B string stays true and I don't feel like I'm fighting the bender when I pull down on the strap. Good luck dialing yours in! The tuner pedal test I described might be helpful?

@@thebenderbunker Couldn't find the video but that was a great tip. Just readjusted it and it feels better.

I've noticed when Marty plays an A chord he reachs up with his pinky and frets the A at the 5th fret, but whats he doing when he plays a D chord? Looks like his reaching up there and doing the same thing, but that's too much of a stretch.

Marty Stuart is my absolute favorite Bender guitar player. I try to copy everything I can from him. This was a great, easy to follow tutorial. You know what would be a great Marty lesson? The solo from "Wait for The Morning" There is so much good stuff there and it's a slow soulful solo. Full of classic Marty licks...kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmGUi6WNrcmjkNk

Good news - "Wait for the Morning" was the first Marty lesson I ever did for the channel's one year anniversary back in 2018. Not as fancy production values back then but the bender licks are all there! Here's a link for you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/narbZax_f9OHr8k Thanks for watching and Keep it Bent!
