Great game! One thing that you could "revert" possibly? Is the normal viper hitting phil in round 14, causing him to fail his Battle Goal (I thing it did?), where it should've hit Detty. This wouldn't have changed anything in the game itself, but could help Phil catch-up to you guys a bit :D

this scenario was tough, took me at least 2 attempts, maybe 3. Re chitchat, I often fastforward past the inter-round talking anyway so it doesn't matter to me, if I am getting bored I go past it.

I would say keep the between turn chit chat. The strategy is some of the best parts.

So you misread the rules and made the game harder than it should have been, but still won? LOL. Well done. I felt like I managed to avoid muddling myself with hollowpact as often as Detty does, I was a lot stricter with making and eating the void tokens (the tidepods lol) but I guess you're making it work, it was a lot of fun.

I remember our Shagged Shoals run, I was blinkblade, and just invisible/Long rest for like 7 rounds so we could win. No other way we could have won that scenario I think. Those eels stun are nastyy

I remember this scenario, it was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed the new ideas and rules. I didn't pay too much attention to the rules in your gameplay so I don't know if you played it right or not. But well done on winning! Again there were a few basic rule mistakes you made here and there (for example at 2:25, Phil forgot to draw 2 cards when he had disadvantage unless he played an equipment or something that gave him advantage?). But well done guys, you crushed it.

Drifter is my favorite starting class. I enjoyed the support, the killing and managing those trackers. However, Meteor is my favorite FH character so far.

I was thinking of the Las Vegas Raiders. They haven’t been good for many years and have a very avid and rough fan base.

You guys could play the scenerio just gaz and detty. Speed run it to get the chest. Gaz has plenty enough invisibility to get there.

For a sports team... Chicago Bears might work. Dominant from the 1920-60s and great again in the 80s winning a championship... Pretty poverty franchise the last 40 years. Lots of fans around the world... Can't say they are nasty though

Hi! Developer here ;) Lovely video. I think you went over most of the things. For Frosthaven loot deck, you can mark who is picking up what, and even get a total loot per character to copy off at the end of the scenario, in addition to bunch of other modifications ( tap the loot deck discard pile, same as for amd) hidden feature: you can double tap on a monster ability or stat card to get a bigger view ( great for those with bad eyesight and/or small screens ) you may also, from the settings menu, save a gamestate to go back to later.( only really useful for those who are in several campaigns, but it was highly requested)

I'm getting close to retiring Paarl Apper the Trapper. I'm gonna miss him something bad. Exceptionally fun character to play!

Putting your battle goal/XP/getting loot first ahead of the party goals definitely grinds my gears. If we lose because of those things...not cool. Just chill and win... Way more fun to win and progress than lose and do it again!

I usually skip past most of the beginning of your videos and get straight to round 1 so I didn't miss out on the computer crash :P Well done guys, that was a horrible round one (you all looked so miserable!) but you still got your victory. Great fun to watch

Damn that was hard work! You guys really deserved that victory after that nailbiting finish. I remember freaking out when i read the scenario but I think I made it through in one try. Where was Mark? At 18:20. Gaz healed all allies - he isn’t an ally to himself so he should not have healed himself. At 1:37 - haha I think we have all made that kind of mistake! At least you spotted it before viewers did :P

I’m a big fan of the dark souls card game by steam forge but I honestly haven’t found a single reliable way to get the expansions for it and I’ve never seen a reprint done by steam forge. So I understand the mixed feelings.

You’re not supposed to shuffle until the end of your turn anyway you’re supposed to just keep going to the deck

Nice work, that was a tough scenario! I didn't start Trail of Ashes until I was halfway through CS. You got the snake! That's the ally I brought with me in your last scenario, it did ZERO damage but it distracted some monsters for me before it died. I loved that idea, CS managed to do quite a few new things like that.

ouch, trying this now and failed twice already. You gave me an idea but do note, to our detriment, that the bonus for the runes is ONLY for one attack per turn or you or your allies. No angry birds dealing out two big hits in a row

Another great video, you guys smashed that scenario. I remember I was lucky in that I had an extra ally (can't explain why without spoilers) who distracted the vipers at start of the game. BTW - Start of round 8, Phil forgot to give himself advantage on his attack on the spirit. Hope you keep going on the filming, I know it must be a lot of effort to edit all that in but it's def been enjoyable so far to relive CS.

I found the bottom of leftover tonic tricky to use. Usually you want to move before doing a action. And the bottom of left over tonic triggers at the end of the turn. It can be used by going slow and moving in and going fast the next turn and using the leftover tonic to move to safety. The top is pretty decent when you take some non attack effects and is likely to trigger on the turn you play it.

The bottom of lost in the star isn't as good as you think. It makes the enemy stunned and invisible.

I am kinda surprise the hollow pact waited to play touch of the void until turn 5. Playing a stun in an earlier round can usually have a good impact. The hollow pact has a couple of good moves that generate void energy. A turn 1 or 2 Touch of the void combined with either withering deluge or unteathered advance should matter alot.

Have been listening to your podcast since the first!! Look forward to it each week. Was so excited when you said you were going to do playthroughs. I have not played Crimson Scales so am getting my fix through you guys. Is there a way to show the cards each person is playing each hand? I know it is a pain but it helps me see all the different cards. If not no worries, going to keep watching. You guys are great. I am on my second Frosthaven campaign and just waiting for Gloomhaven 2.0 to come out!!

My group has been playing CS for quite awhile now. I think we started out with flask(me), galaxy and luminiary. In my experience early level flask is great for making elements for the luminairy and I retired at level 4 or 5. It has a good toolbox of cards. The permanent lost effect that makes the party ignore hazardous or difficult terrain is really good to play turn 1 in scenario's that have that type of terrain. The +1 range and pierce 2 with 3 charges is also great. (great again the water spirits) The galaxy class was mostly played as a glass cannon. Playing the permanent card that gives advantage when at full health in the 1st turn. The heal stun poison enemy range 3 card is a great. The galaxy class retired and played the chained helmet after that at some point. Swing is a bit trickier to use then push and pull in my opinion. Shackeled doesn't work on enemies that are immune to immobilize which can be anoying in some of the bossfights We currently have hieraphant and hollowpact and a class from trail of ashes in the party. an interesting part about the hollowpact is that most of the perk cards make cards ambiguous when at disadvantage. So when you attack when muddled and the 2 top cards are ambiguous you pick the 1st one drawn. Which works quite well with the voidsight ability. I love the design of the water spirits

These cards seem quite a bit stronger than what GH or FH starters are able to do at level 1. I guess it balances out with the scenarios in CS being a bit harder. But I feel like the Starslinger would definitely overperform in GH or FH.

2:12:25 did you have to put one of the cards at the bottom of the deck? I thought you MAY but don't have to and then you put the remaining card(s) back on top in any order.. or did I miss something?
