My first ebike. First bike of any kind in 25 years or more. If you're moderately handy, assembly is no big deal. I have nothing to compare it to except regular mountain bikes (and mopeds!) from decades ago. This thing's a damn miracle machine. Easily hits 30 mph (I'm 165 lbs, 5'10", male), but the gears and the different levels of pedal assist make for smooth leisurely riding in my hilly little river city. I'm shocked that this tech has come this far. I'm shocked that there are apparently even better ebikes out there.

Tannus liners aren’t worth it after a few months that 15mm turns into like 2-4mm max….BUT they will allow you to ride with no tire pressure for a short time

Can't seem to find a video that simply talks about swapping out the entire battery for another not adding a second🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ adding a second battery to your bike just double the weight of your bike🤦🏽♂️😡 and will tear your shocks and/or suspension up if you have any, I don't so it would just break my spokes again because I used to ride with an extra battery in my trunk but not anymore. My problem is I bought a battery from Amazon (unbeknownst not returnable🤦🏽♂️) thinking it was going to be an easy swap but of course the ends aren't compatible🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️

I tested the bike and yea it's a better bike and the handling is very nice... BUT otherwise I will stick with my 2019 Rad Mini or buy something different. 🌴 Also I never liked the high passenger seat so I ended up with an XP3 for way way less $.

A dc to dc amplifier hooked to say 48 volt 10ah battery cranked up to say 84 volts will cut your capacity down like 4 or 5ah. Just as much energy will be turned to heat as will be supplied to your controller. Probably more. This is possible but you have to be careful your battery can handle it. If the "C" rating isnt high enough youll quickly blow it fuse. If you dont have a fuse it will cause a run away thermal event in the cells and thats not so great.

I ues a mobility scooter but its lacking power for hills what is the best way to get more power for hills I don't need speed it's already quick. It's 48v 350w battery saying 15amp thanks

It would usually depend on your mobility scooter but I imagine that the core setup would be roughly about the same as an ebike or regular electric scooter. Motor upgrade would provide more speed but if you're looking for torque or hill climbing ability, that would be come from a controller upgrade. I'd probably start with reaching out to the manufacturer to see if they have any suggestions as to what you could do to upgrade. If not, maybe a ebike expert in a bike shop in your town may be able to help as well.

He said once they are the same volt you are ok if different volts eg 48+52vol you need a battery blender.

For the most part the voltage would stay the same as long as all the batteries connected together were the same voltage since these battery adapters link in parallel. Three 48v batteries linked together would perform like one big larger capacity 48v battery.

If your scooter is 60v, also the second battery must be 60V. If you plug a 10v one it will likely catch fire@@יונתן-ה7נ

Is there a certain process for disconnecting a xt60 from the battery too the controller? cause i heard they can spark and short out the battery.

I've heard of that as well but really haven't experienced it. They do make anti-spark versions of the XT60 and XT80 (usually has a green marking) but I've found as long as you dissipate any residual power in the system while the battery is disconnected it's not an problem.

Yes, since your controller was able to handle a 48-volt supply, just be aware that the bike will not go as fast as the motor will be spinning at a slower rate.

I have the Radwagon 4. I've owned it since July 2021. It's a great bike, If I had enough disposable income I would definitely upgrade my RW4 to a RW5. I like the design and colours more than my RW4. However, since my bike is perfectly good and I don't have enough disposable income I won't upgrade. When my bike starts to break down and I need parts I think I will upgrade my current bike instead of buying a new one. 20" inch wheels and tires, new upgraded battery, new controller and displays etc. As costs are today, it will be cheaper to upgrade my bike instead of buying a new one.

I put a alternator on my e-bike when I’m not using power assist it charges my battery I can ride non stop without charging.but once a month I drain the battery and charge it fully so it doesn’t get a memory affect.Im going to see soon do a test how many kms I can do without charging my battery properly ever.I don’t understand why e-bikes don’t come with a alternator…ps a alternator converts mechanical energy to electrical energy it transforms to dc current and charges my battery..hope this is helpful.👌🤗

Does anyone remember the generator we had for the lights in the old days the front tire . Has anyone developed a generator that runs on the front tire and can it charge your battery while riding your bike. This sounds like the perfect way to charge.

You can also take an old tire like say if you have a kid that likes to skid he blows out his tire you take that same old tire and you cut up the sides of it right along the middle of the tire and then you stuff the rubber part hard rubber part of the tire itself inside of another another tire and then you just shove the energy in between two pieces of tire the tire acts like body armor for the tire underneath that protects the tube

Some double leg kickstands are hard to put down because you have to lift the bike and cargo up to activate the kickstand. Do you know if the Radwagon 5 kickstand is easier to activate?

It was pretty easy to deploy when I tried it out. Your foot wedges one of the kickstand feet against the ground and then you roll the bike backward to pop it into place. Not sure if it's any different when the bike is loaded down with cargo though.

nice site/picture comparison how about real world comparison? Ive seen the kepler has a high top speed [same on the site] low speed or a hill climb? the keplers not so good - about the same as my 48v flurry in that. just "slightly" better, but not good enough. how does the magicycle compare in actual ride performance? this Im too cheap to buy one & see. nope no shops within 200 miles of here :(

I wasn't necessearily referring to the bike's total speed but the massive surge from the pedal assist kicking in without throttle. It was so abrupt that it nearly threw me off the bike's seat.

Swap the location of the rear reflector and the rear fender stays. The lads must have assembled it on a friday afternoon.

Nope, the battery blender is only required if you want the 2 batteries to act as 1 big one. Otherwise, you'd just need to swap out the two batteries on the same single battery tray or have some sort of 2 battery tray set up that you switch from battery A to battery B. I've even seen some people simply unplug one battery tray connection (to the controller) and just plug it into the other battery tray.

I assume that it wouldn't unless you do some modding to get it attached. Rad designed their newer bikes with the mounting points to on the frame in order to have this lock attached. Other brands usually wouldn't have these added.
