I like how the video is very raw and, therefore, genuine. We get real opinions without bias. I'm debating about buying one of these. I don't have the previous hub, but I have 1/2 dozen of their smart devices that I use various switches to control. I'm reviewing whether to move everything to the hub for control.
@alias515218 сағат бұрын
For someone who want to have it in room without the hub.. it's good.. Ofc don't buy hub just because of this product.. you will waste your money.. Readings are accurate? Well idk, i don't have another similar products to compare it with ... but anyway i take everything with a reserve.. kinda "it's arround that number.. ".. it works and i think main purpose/selling point of this product is that you don't need a hub, it works on it's own..

I have the same kindle 6th generation I think but battery is the issue now seems to keep running out. Have looked up how to change battery and looks like need special tools too. Bummer as I liked old kindle just hadn't used for a while but like you started to reuse. Also like someone else said my charging cable has lost its outer bit too so maybe is time for a new one.

I have never seen such a simple and easy to understand video. Your paper diagram made the WORLD of a difference in understanding what the hell all of these switches are doing in my living room. I have a 6-gang switch box by the back door, a 4 gang switch box by the hallway, a 3-gang switch box by the dining room, and another 4-gang switch box in the kitchen. So many 3- and 4-way switches, and one 5 way(assuming it's name, 4 switches controlling one light). Thanks to your video, I confidently managed to swap several switches with smart switches. Thanks!

Thank you for the information in this video. It really helps a lot. I did configure the HS210 switch following the instructions, and the switch works. However, when I turn on the switch using the app, it turns on, but in the app, the state changes from on to off even if the lights are on. Also, when I turn on the other switches, the state is not changing in the app.

Thank you very much for such a perfect and proper review. This certainly helped me! I wish that all reviews were as good as yours. 95% of the others talk too fast (as if they are reading a script (which is so obvious) and leave out the most vital things that we need to know. Yours on the other hand covered the right issues, and was truly complete for a genuine review. By the way, your choice of literature and pdfs was top notch.

Great review. To the point. Currently pondering upgrading my Paperwhite 1 (gen 5) from 2012 --> Kindle basic 6" 2022 vs Paperwhite 11th gen, or just persisting with the old one until it carks it. Only real advantage to a latest generation basic would be dark mode, USB-C, and 16GB storage instead of 2GB. The newest Paperwhite only offers 32GB, warm & more even lighting, and waterproofing, beyond that, but it bigger & heavier (definite downside for me). Think I might buy a new case for ye olde 2012 Paperwhite for now, and ponder a new 6" basic replacement if the archaeologically significant one dies. 🙂

I have the '22 Basic and have zero desire for the newest paperwhite. The only thing I'd consider getting it for is the warm light if my headaches get worse (not kindle caused but a bitch nonetheless), and maybe the water resistance (just so it could come to the pool). But the size and weight is a decided drawback to me. I got my mom a PW3 for her birthday and have putted around on it and it's not a significant difference to the Basic. I say use yours til it dies (not that you asked my input), then get the Basic, it's a really great product and killed any desire for me to "upgrade".
@chriscole455921 күн бұрын
@@SJisReading Looking at pulling the pin on the basic 6" 11th gen ... 8 x the storage as my 2012 Paperwhite (2GB), but the selling point is DARK MODE. My wife is allergic to stray photons at bedtime. 🙂
@SJisReading21 күн бұрын
@chriscole4559 I never need the dark mode (my husband isn't allergic like your wife), but it sounds like it might be the move for you. The storage capacity is HUGE, I know I'm never going to use all that, and thus won't need to upgrade for a very, very long time. Plus it's insanely portable. Only downside (to me) is the smaller bezels. I think the older models are easier to hold, despite not looking as sleek.

You mentioned ways around installing without a neutral wire. I just bought 4 switches and discovered that my 1970s apartment does not have a neutral wire in the switch box. Any suggestions?
@lowkeybrian54812 ай бұрын
@QTTechReview I also have this issue, one black(top), one white wire (bottom), one green, no extra neutral wires..

TP-link will require neutral wire to work. If you do not have neutral wire, Lutron and GE have some options for no neutral wire situation.

have you set up a Lutron Caseta Smart Switch dimmer? I have a 4 way switch, casesta only shows how to set up a three way. i have one 4 way and 2 3 way switches installed. Not sure how to go about it. Caseta says to install their dimmer smart switch and go to the other location and cap all wires together and add a pico remote to the switch where all the wires were capped off together. Any assistance would be greatly appreaciated.
@QTTechReview2 ай бұрын
I believe for Lutron, you only need to install one switch. For the rest of the locations, you wire them to be forever on. Then you put a remote switch on each remote location. Remote switches are not wired and only use battery. You can buy as many as you want, making it 3 way, 4 way, 5 way, .....

So which product you prefer? This one from Ikea or the amazon one? :)
@QTTechReview5 ай бұрын
I prefer the Amazon sensor because I like to see the historical data chart on the app. If you do not like to go through the app to see the numbers, then Ikea is better because it has a screen.
