If you believe the Lords Day is Sunday and Sabbath is no more, this is where it originated from……. Council of Laodicia the Lukewarm church in revelation: Canon 29 Christians must not judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honouring the Lord's Day; and, if they can, resting then as Christians. But if any shall be found to be judaizers, let them be anathema from Christ. It’s a creation of the church fathers after Constantine Then you have : Canon 16 The Gospels are to be read on the Sabbath [i.e. Saturday], with the other Scriptures., at that time the church kept the Sabbath. And we have…… Canon 59 No psalms composed by private individuals nor any uncanonical books may be read in the church, but only the Canonical Books of the Old and New Testaments. Only psalms that work with their doctrines…… snap out of it people and keep the Sabbath Holy …. Saturday. If you stay in the Sunday worship you will perish, search out the truth and do go by what some guy said on KZbin.

I just became my church's librarian this around October 2024, and have discovered that at least 30% of the book collection is fiction geared towards women, and that those who borrow books in general are mostly women. My challenge is to get men to get interested in reading books. This is where I hit a wall. I despise "attractional" or "seeker sensitive" methods when it comes to youth group or church services. But I'm tempted to use this method to get men browsing the bookshelves by placing books that will pique their curiosity. I'm thinking biography and history books that are not written by Christian authors. What do you recommend for churches were men are not only not reading, but are not even listening to audio sermons or Christian podcasts? How can the church create a culture of learning? I'm also thinking that 2 kingdom theology might dissuade Christians from reading non-Christian books because they view those as "of the world." But wouldn't a Kuyperian view that "the earth is the LORD's, and all that is in it," encourage reading for the exploration of "secular" knowledge?

Pastor Jon Mark, I want to give a sincere thank you for how your sermons and videos have ministered to me. They have been truly helpful to me in my understanding of God Himself, marriage, and reformed theology as a whole. I didn't hold firmly to calvinism or really understand divine simplicity until I listened through your sermons on those topics, yet they have become immensely consolatory truths in my walk. Your videos on ministry have helped me to serve better in my local church and in how I evangelize to others. That you studied homiletics truly shows in how well you deliver your sermons, and I always come away from them with a peace that I now better understand the counsel of God! You probably did not picture that your online ministry would come to be so helpful to a young man living many states away any more than Herman Bavinck did when he wrote his Reformed Dogmatics. But God builds His kingdom on the backs of faithful Christians, and He has greatly worked in my life through your faithful preaching and teaching of the Word. So thank you very much, sincerely. I pray that you will continue to do well in your ministry and to remain steadfast in the hope of Christ. Silas

I respect this But I don't think people should use religion as a coercion for caregiving We have a responsibility to see our parents are cared for to a certain degree God is not going to come down and feed bath toilet and clean up your parents incontinence issues He's not going to come down and pay your rent and bills if you have to quit your job to care for them Honor them doesn't mean giving up your own well being to care for them Please leave religion out of this

Actually... when translating fully and properly, and not this washed down English translation bs. The person that was "naked" was a boy, someone under the age of 13 and he was naked in front of Jesus. When he ran off the wrapping fell off his privates and he literally was naked, after Jesus was uprehended the same boy was then seen now dressed and following Jesus and the word for following is that of a "slave" or "assigned as a servant". So we got something truly messed up here happening... I don't know about you pastor but you need to dig way way deeper to realise that this is not symbolism but this is an actual account by an apostle and was also noted in Greek too. Oh and while Jesus was being arrested and the boy ran off he was saying "he's not a lestes" which basically means "human trafficker" or far worse "child trafficker" back in those days and... yeh! Let's just leave it at that and keep wondering about the suspicious situation which is clearly not symbolic and is rather alarming!!!

This is exactly what I needed to hear. My husband believes that I should be quiet and submissive because we are Christians. He speaks to me very disrespectfully, treats me with indifference, and if I express any complaints about him-about how he doesn’t give me attention or how our intimate and emotional connection has been broken-he tells me that I should understand him, keep my mouth shut, and be submissive because that is my duty. A greater anger than love to submit is growing within me. I feel like leaving this marriage, but I’m afraid it might not be the right thing to do, so I suffer and hope for change.

The translation is not young man, it’s just young, meaning a boy. Jesus acknowledges the boy saying he is not a trafficker but doesn’t say why he’s there.

I do see some potential flaws in your view. If someone decided to fast all week and said they do not want to eat or drink the communion, should they not drink and eat it on the Lord's Day? Also, if John said the Lord's Day without having to explain it, it was well known by the church even though there are little to no mention of it in the New Testament. The way I see it is, if the Sabbath was just a sign and seal, like unto circumcision, it is optional to follow it (as long as you do not think it saves you). But if it is truly a part of the moral law that was known by Adam to be obeyed when his nature was untainted by sin, then we should obey the Sabbath. I have thought in the past that because Jesus taught about the Sabbath, we should follow, but this too has a flaw. Jesus taught the lepers to go to the priests as said in the law of Moses. Jesus was also circumcised to keep the Abrahamic Covenant, rode into town on a donkey according to the Davidic Covenant, and therefore should not be surprising that He taught how to keep the sign of the Mosaic Covenant in order to prove that He fulfilled each Covenant perfectly. With this logic though, I am still having trouble. Please pray for me to know how to keep the Lord's Day.

My dads side of the family passed me around I was the only boy. I was just too young to understand what was happening. I remember thinking about 4-5 these people are mean, that’s the word I used then, then 12, I’d say the mean were sissy’s. Like they didn’t do anything. At 18 I went off shore to the oil fields and never looked back until much later I’d date narc women and the chaos was just like when I was a small boy. Then I got real good at everything I did, school, work, sports, but I’d relive that over and over. The hamster wheel. And wax real protective of mom. I was always overseas working in the most dangerous places on earth that’s where the big money was. And it wasn’t really about the money it was danger it made me feel real alive. Like I was living it. Some of those places were indescribable to even me. The smells and sounds are still in my mind. I’m very lucky / blessed to be alive. The heighten awareness of everything around me. It was just like when I was a lil boy except? Now I’m still that way but with my farm and birds and animals. I’ve got an old black bird mom you to feed and leave things in the yard for him. He’s got a bad right wing but can still fly. He’ll come sit in my window and peck at the glass and talk. I’m practicing cooking different cornbread dressings for thanks giving. I like the smells of baking I don’t eat much I just like the smells. I’m thinking cinnamon rolls will be next. I wonder why the narcissism was hidden from us for so many years and now they are letting us know and talk about it now? Back when there weee arsholes and mean people but people cared for their family’s and others now it’s obvious that it’s a me me me world. They’ll say your to serous, your to sensitive. Your dangerous. And no one speaks up when it matters. The Bible character I most relate to is Samson. But he didn’t end well. Ending well is not easy. Easy makes you soft. Thku for making me look beyond, everything is going to be alright Ms Shaw!

Naked has several meanings. Look at the one that references Mark. Naked: This word denotes (1.) absolute nakedness (Gen 2:25; Job 1:21; Ecc 5:15; Mic 1:8; Amo 2:16); (2.) being poorly clad (Isa 58:7; Jam 2:15). It denotes also (3.) the state of one who has laid aside his loose outer garment (Lat. nudus ), and appears clothed only in a long tunic or under robe worn next the skin (Sa1 19:24; Isa 47:3; compare Mar 14:52; Joh 21:7).

This lady preacher doesn't have no understanding. When a man and a woman have the holy Spirit. The man and the woman asked for a holy spirit husband and the holy Spirit wife. Holy Spirit woman in our holy Spirit man. It will be a perfect marriage because both of them love Jesus and both of them have the holy Spirit in them. Jesus will only find you a husband and a wife no other person can. If Jesus did not pick your husband or your wife. That means you don't belong to Jesus and you do not have the holy Spirit in you. If Jesus doesn't tell you this is your husband or this is your wife. You don't have the holy Spirit. This preacher lady lies to you. The spirit she listens to is the devil that whispers in her ear.

Pastor Jon Marks. You're not supposed to preach from a Bible. The Bible has thousands of Liza contradictions it's all Mumble jumbled words added it took it out it's not complete. The Bible is tainted it's lies. They turned it into a law book to put you under the old covenant and to control you with. Holy Spirit children do not worship on Saturday or Sunday. You're you're lying to the people stop it. Holy Spirit children pray everyday. Everyday is a holy day. I have to pray every day. Pastor Jon mark. Satan's children preach from the Bible like you. You preach from an unholy Bible book. That means you're unholy pastor Jon Mark. You never met the living Jesus Christ. That's the truth. You fellowship a Bible.
@jameszapata8290Ай бұрын
Pastor Jon mark. Why do you lie to the people. You know that God does not dwell in temples made with hands. That Jesus had room tear down the temple. Before they stoned Stevens to that he said that Jesus another Earth is going to destroy this place and change the customers Moses. Why aren't you telling them the truth. Why are you lying. They're not supposed to go to churches made with hands I hope the people see these messages to find out that you're a big fat liar. Slowly know that you don't have the holy Spirit and you're not supposed to be listening and obeying you. They're supposed to be obeying Jesus to the holy Spirit.
@jameszapata8290Ай бұрын
Pastor Jon. Your church and your ministries built on the Bible. That's your Chief cornerstone.. Jesus 7th gatherings of Asia were built on the holy Spirit. They didn't have no Bibles. Pastor Jon why do you lie to people. Don't you have a conscience. No you don't. Preaching from a Bible is preaching hate not love. You're what we call a rip roaring apostle of Satan and you do his will.
@jameszapata8290Ай бұрын
Pastor Jon tell the truth. You don't even have the holy Spirit in you. Your preacher Man You're not the living Jesus Christ. The apostle's only obey Jesus the high priest. So if anybody listens to you and obeys you they don't have the holy Spirit. Pastor Jon mark. You're not even supposed to preach. The holy Spirit doesn't preach through you you preach through a Bible book. That's Antichrist. You're preventing them from praying to Jesus in the spirit and you're taking them away from Jesus and you're putting their faith in the Bible. Why do you lie to people pastor Jon mark.
