Im sure it's not that funny, there's very few things coming out these days that are funny. BUT....kinda coming across a little defensive here. Let's watch a clip that includes the setup AND the punchline.

Here's the thing, while I agree that Skipper's video is embarrassingly lazy dogshit, I still do believe that Godzilla as a character just works better in Japan than it does in America. We can talk about all the numbers the monsterverse Godzilla movies are doing financially, but artistically, I just think the Japanese films are just better. I understand the cult appeal of the cheesier Godzilla films, but again it's the kind of thing that wouldn't work in a mainstream American audience and Hollywood could NEVER write something like that today because they take themselves too seriously or whatever other BS reason they got. The nature of modern American blockbuster films already puts a bad taste in my mouth, and I know that once the monsterverse gets enough momentum, it will turn into the same kind of unimaginative yearly slop that you see from Marvel and Star Wars right now. Modern Hollywood is poison for filmmaking as a medium. To me, Godzilla is truly at his best when he's a force of devastation on a thematic level. We can talk about how much on-screen destruction are in the monsterverse films, but when you nullify a lot of that when you make him into a hero, making any sort of attempt at a theme or subtext feel that much weaker.

I'm admittedly guilty of buying some TADC bootlegs, but I couldn't help it. It was the Lego sets... and I'm a sucker for Legos. The newest set's actually REALLY good as far as bootlegs go, IMO. Also bought a Pomni hat and face mask, but I'd say those are more "fan made" items than bootlegs. Thankfully I've put WAY more money into official merchandise than bootlegs, however. 7 plushies (basically all except Gummigoo) the Pomni Animatez, pin, keychain, and the original poster (with Pomni's hands being blue on the right hand and red on the left).

Another major problem everybody seemed to miss is how the writers don't believe in ALLERGIES There's this joke right after Chaz was introduced where they say they're allergic to dogs, to which the girl responds with "It's okay, he's an emotional support dog... and nonbinary!" and the response is "Ok! Good dog" and they pet the dog. Obviously that's not how that work at ALL, but the joke wouldn't even make sense if they didn't think allergies were made up by the Woke Mob™

I took the dog non-binary joke as: the dog is "fixed" i.e has no testicles which is why she lifts the tail to demonstrate it. That's the most generous possible read. Still a stupid joke that means nothing and fundamentally makes no sense, unless we're now calling out pet owners for "trans-ing" their dogs by cutting their bits off. 🙄

The whole point of that line was that the Jedi had no idea of their existence, we know the Jedi to be fallible and show hubris in the prequel trilogy and this was a perfect example of it. Now, with what we now know, at least 1 Jedi had witnessed a Sith (and declare himself as such) and because of this, Master Squid Games and one of the 2 lame chicks either have to fly into an asteroid on their way back or report this back to the council. IF then the council or whoever try to cover this up, this only serves to make the Jedi (especially ones we know who were alive at the time, withstanding Master forehead) the bad guys for lying to the galaxy and not attempting to keep the peace for 100 years before Qui-Gon fights Maul

There is a difference between something not being extinct and the world knowing that it is not extinct. This argument holds no ground, because the continuity was, that the Jedi didn't see or hear about any sith for millenia. so nobody, no Jedi, no gangsta, no police, no law biding citizen has reported sith activity. Since nobody disagreed or corrected mundi, this seemed to be the case. Now in the acolyte they contradict it. There was sith activity. There was two Anakin style births as well. Mundi somehow returned before he was thought to be born. So either mundi knew about the sith and was a dogshit person (character assassination), they somehow forgott (game of thrones flashbacks) or the writing gets worse and nobody has money on their payphone to tell anybody before they die or this whole mess is a feaverdream of mundi who smoked some crack.
