It's basically 2 units/2 apartments combined into 1 big unit/apartment. Preferably for bigger families or multi-generational families, but can be bought by singles. Roughly around 1,500 - 2,000 feet².

very nice home. Hope seller can improve the backyard garden and grow some grass. i always feel swimming pool in a terrace, semi, D and detached is waste of water.

Fair enough 😅 I guess it depends on what’s important to the owner. For this particular owner, having a sizeable pool for their 2 kids to play in for their family time and for entertainment was important. Other homes literally have like a dipping pool which is honestly a waste of space too. Nevertheless, appreciate your comment!

This is a nice home with a lot of problems. The good: The outdoor kitchen and the swimming pool is one of the main selling points of this home. Open plan living. Suitable for a large family. A space to place a lift. The bad: The home needs a lift adding. The homes decor is not too everyones taste. The home is too open to nature. Some of the internal space is being wasted. The second bedroom has a better bathroom than the master does.

i get what they are doing in the home... but that "open" concept is too much... thats like inviting every bug/gecko/bird species in ur home! tho i didnt see if they were screened to prevent that but prolly not...

The biggest con of BTO is childbearing procrastination. The cost of handling children with special needs outweighs the profit from BTO. Unless you are determined to be childless, go ahead.

would say luck is one factor. i've seen many friends getting a bto without even a proper job and some at only 21 years old , getting 5rm btos and all just on first try. there's definitely more than meets the eye when applying for bto.

Hi Jeanie, aw thanks for the comment! The real estate categorisation is quite different in SG.. here in SG, we call it private properties - be it condos / apartments (strata titled) or landed homes (you own the land & this is the most expensive type of property in land-scarce singapore). So the biggest difference would be the price points for buyers.

Very very tiny house, only half the size of a usual-sized terrace house. Top up another $300k can easily get a usual-sized terrace of 1600plus land size with 5 bedrooms and a car porch.
